Solid enough mid-season finale, I think Gordon working at Arkham in the second half of the season has potential. So the theory is the assassin chick is Copperhead?

I don't see this plot line lasting long. It will last till maybe the end of the season but not beyond that.

It will never happen. For starters Mark Hamill is way to old to play the character. Mark Hamill is 63 even if you could make him look around 50 he would still be way to old to play the Joker in this time line. It's great idea if he where 20 maybe 30 years younger.
he could do the voice

he did the voice of a live action Joker on Birds of Prey

I'd prefer they find someone else to handle the role of the Joker. Hamill's had a terrific run, but, he should not have the monopoly on the Joker role.

Theres no way he'd do it anyway.

He's done with the character unless they offer him The Killing Joke or something special alongside Conroy, Timm, Dini, etc.

Just re-watching the pilot, and it confirmed something I was wondering about. Selina told Gordon she saw the Wayne's killer's face, and he believed her, but, according to the pilot 's opening murder scene she never did. Thoughts?

They didn't show her seeing his face, but that doesn't necessarily mean she didn't. I thought after she climbed up the fire escape, the focus was mostly on the Waynes until the gun was pulled on them. I may need to watch it again tonight to be sure.

No, she definitely did not see they guys face. She climbed up on the fire escape when she heard the Wayne's approach, and was watching them, when the guy came up from behind her position, and he had his mask up the whole time even as he was walking away after the killing with his back to Selina. She couldn't have seen his face.

this is true. Maybe she did follow fim later and saw him remove his mask?

Didn't she say she saw him take off the mask? I assumed she followed him.

There has been no indication (yet) that she followed the guy. At this point it's pure speculation on you guys' part that she followed and saw him take his mask off.
I was thinking she may have told Gordon that lie in order to gain some sort of leverage with him. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I also agree that she didn't see the Killer's face. She had no intention of Testifying because she wouldn't know who to accuse.

I had meant the Original Red Hood, not the Joker. Have him as a "legendary" criminal in Gotham. Years ago he led a massive crime spree, always staying two steps ahead of the law by having his underlings dress up as him. He's been in Arkham ever since, just waiting for a chance to get out. I think they could feasibly get Hamill to do a role like that, and once he inevitably escapes, it would allow for a great season 2 main villain, with minimal required physical appearances by Hamill himself.

That's what I've been assuming. We already know she's prone to lying just based on that story she's told about her mom.

i'm enjoying it far more than i thought i would, but yeah im gonna be that guy and say they are introducing far to many main batman character to fast.

i mind the likes of penguin or even harvey in his early 20s, but other dont make sense like joker or harley.

Sources tell the Chronicle that businessman Dick Lovecraft took his own life after police questioned him about the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne.

“Dick Lovecraft’s suicide is a terrible, terrible tragedy,” Mayor James told reporters. “Fighting the trumped up charges of one overzealous police officer was too much for him.” The mayor then turned to the sky and added, “Dick, you have my word. That officer is being dealt with.”

The officer in question, Detective James Gordon, has been reassigned to the security detail of the newly reopened Arkham Asylum.

Really would love some Gotham spoilers on Leslie Thompkins and Jim Gordon, for when the show returns (on Jan. 5). Have any to share? –Mickey

Hmm, already I’ve had both EP Danny Cannon and new recurring player Morena Baccarin preview Leslie’s arrival/impact on Jim’s life. So instead I will share with you the latest casting calls – including John Grayson and Mary Lloyd, teenage circus performers who will figure into Episode 16 and hint at the origin of a certain Boy Wonder. Episode 17, meanwhile, will introduce two recurring characters: Dr. Dulmacher (aka another Dollmaker), this time conceived as a mad European scientist, and Reggie Payne, an old army buddy of Alfred’s who has gone a bit to seed.

A still from the upcoming episode "Rouges Gallery". Who is this guy?

Finally caught up with this and seen every episode. It is many heads and shoulders above both ARROW and FLASH and is only slightly behind CONSTANTINE. I am surprised at all the bad feelings on the Hype about it that I have seen so far.
