Well, that's good :D

I'm ashamed to say I've only seen the first three episodes still. I have a tendency to just flit through them and get depressed when I have to wait for some more :hehe:
So, I'm just biding my time with it until it returns next month. As hard as it is :wow:

I'm aware of the new storyline coming up though. I mean, is that enough for people to still be interested?

I'm more than interested in the global storyline.

I'm almost certain this next episode won't actually include the soon-to-be Joker. The promo literally says "This next villain is no joke."

Yup. That was my point earlier. People here, as usual, are jumping to conclusions and forgetting what was said about the red herring Jokers we'd be likely seeing.

It's a little disconcerting that the ratings have slipped below a 2.0 in the demos.

I just think the overall storyline isn't captivating enough for the general audience and they are starting to drift away.

I agree, they need to stop with these one off villains and just move full steam ahead into the main season arc. I think extending this season from 16 episodes to 22 is slowing down the pace considerably. I still like the show and I'm growing used to its quirkyness but they really, really need to ditch side tangents like Bruce Wayne and Fish Mooney being captured by pirates and focus on the bubbling mob war.

no they don't. The show is called Gotham, not Penguin.

so, do you think the show will just say goodbye to the Barbara character they introduced? she clearly was written poorly, or just played really annoying by the actress. not sure on that. either way, how do they redeem that character? just introduce another Barbara???

Exactly. How can anybody think that's Joker? Look at him. He's got red hair and pinky skin. Since when does Joker look like that? :o

Let's hope they do. Both the actress and the writing are really weak. Leslie is a better match for James in every regards.

She's hot though, and that in my humble opinion, is all that matters :)

I hope so but since she shows p in the promo images for next week I doubt it. Heller has a knack for cluttered and over complicated narrative with little return. There is no doubt in my mind that the issues pervading the series to date will persist into the future. The show had so much potential.

Leslie is a much better character but because of the comics connection Barb will be back.

Ep.15 - The Scarecrow Review:

I'm loving this show.

but I hope they start focusing back on solving the Wayne murders.

also, I'm not sure how many seasons this can last with the focus on Gordon as the main.

btw.......have the writers ever commented on whether Bruce will become Batman at some point in the show?

I do not believe they have, at least not definitively. I'm sure they haven't really completely decided yet, it's only the first season after all. Maybe after the show has been on for a while, and how the story develops.

I don't know how I feel about the upcoming show. The Joker is such an iconic character... they could seriously mess it up for me.

He looks the part at least. Still, is anyone besides me reminded of Junior from Problem Child?

Um before he fell intoa vate of Chemicals who knows what he looked like. There are many orgins to the Joker story we hardly know about. His hair wasn't always green.

They're most likely saving that part for the series finale the same way they did with Clark Kent becoming Superman on Smallville.

That would be my guess as well. Hopefully Gotham will do a better job of it than Smallville did.

I hope that's not Joker. This show is overstuffed with characters as it is. Leave him for a later season and give this show some breathing room, for Pete's sake.

I think they aren't going to say one way or another. They'll see how audiences respond to this guy, and if they like him as Joker, he'll be Joker... if not, he'll be a red herring.

I'm getting nervous about this one. :funny:

Was hoping they would stay away from joker.....
