I think banner transforming mid air would be sick like if him and ironman had been falling he wakes up transforms and catches him. They should get creative with the transformations now because since he can transform fast it has to be varied now because we proably won't see too many of the fighting transformations where banner fights it unless he gets hit by a car or something that's how they made it seem when he transforms like now it's going to be quick unless something happens to him where he doesn't want to transform.
Did anyone else get stuck in the first couple rows? It sucked, so now I am going to go see it again

There was a really great Hulk story where he teamed up with some Shield agents to stop the Leader from mass producing Gamma bombs, which lead up to the Ground Zero storyline

It's Banner/Grey Hulk, Rick Jones, and Clay Quartermain (from SHIELD). Great story!

Film Crit Hulk wrote a great piece distinguishing Ruffalo's Hulk from Bixby's, Bana's and Norton's and what he thinks makes a compelling Hulk. I think any Hulk/Banner fan would enjoy this:

That was quite an enjoyable read.:yay:

Mark definitely has a more humble, approachable take on Bruce. The sadness is there under the surface, but it doesn't overwhelm us and never felt like we were beaten over the head with it.

Man, I love your avatar.

That's the fastest I've ever seen Bill Bixby walking down that lonely highway.

It would be funny if in Thor 2. Loki mentions to Thor that he wants a rematch with The Hulk. The next time he sees him

Banner/Hulk may be my favorite aspect of the movie, which appears to be quite common. The character was finally given his proper due on screen with the best design and best actor in the role.

It was really refreshing to see the Hulk truly portrayed as a hero and working along side the other Avengers. I'd love to see more of Banner in control of the transformations and working as a hero.

Thank you sir. I have to show respect to classic Bixby. I'll swap to a "Ruffalo'd" Bruce in time.

That's the fastest I've ever seen Bill Bixby walking down that lonely highway.

The speed is cranked up a bit.

You guys have made a good point. The army hunt with Ross as Captain Ahab and Hulk as his Moby Dick is getting old. Changing it up and having a more pro-active story would be interesting to see, especially with both parts of Hulk having to come to work together. Especially if it involves gamma experimentation, showing Bruce and the Hulk actively stopping something that altered his way of life and now trying to prevent someone else from doing the same, like Sterns.

Here's how I'd go about a solo Hulk film post Avengers:
Shield currently have possession of Samuel Sterns as shown in Fury's big week. I'd have him escape and launch terrorist attacks the US (Sterns is said to be a radical anarchist in a TIH deleted scene) I'd have Fury and co call in Banner for his expertise in Gamma radiation again, as well as helping figure out Sterns' next move, then have the situation escalate into a Hulk vs Leader struggle.

A Hulk vs Leader and his creations movie would be great. I'd love to see Banner go brain to brain with this guy and yet need Hulk to battle his monstrosities created from his blood like Bi-Beast or the U-Foes or something.

The Marvel tie-in comic series to the Avengers, it deals with all the loose ends in the films and leads up to the Avengers story itself. Had stuff like showing how they made the Destroyer into weapons, how Fury's team discovered Cap and all that stuff..

Really? None of you read it?

Don't forget the humanoids!

^Wow

I am by no means a fan of Whedon's work, but I will never stop praising him for achieving the unachievable: Making me look forward to a Hulk solo film and actually stop being bored by the Hulk as a character. All it took was casting an actor with antural likeability and giving us reasons to sympathize with Dr. Banner, something the previous films never did. He's either my 1st or 2nd favorite character from the Avengers (interchangeable with Iron Man).

This was a great article, thanks for posting.

What a great article, on the previous page. He's 300% right.

It's almost like the Ang Lee Hulk has no skin texture. He looks like a really crude 3d model now. Almost something unfinished that is just used to figure out the animation, not the final product. Or if not that, he looks like he belongs in an animated movie.

It was fairly uneven, there were some shots like above that looked hokey but then you had the images of Hulk in the desert with dirt and sweat, you could even see his pours.
ILM did they the best they could at the time.

On the close-ups 2003 Hulk did have skin texture, in fact, he had a great skin texture - there were pores etc and it was still better than the overdone texture used in TIH [which was a shame as the design looked great].

The way I see it - Ang's Hulk had poor design but great textures and animation [at times] and TIH Hulk had great design but poor textures and animation [at times]

The Avengers Hulk absolutely nailed everything though. Design, execution. Everything.

There are no words that can describe Avengers' Hulk.
