If they were to make another Hulk movie, i think for it to be successful Joss would have to direct it.....i cant think of anyone else who could tackle it and make it work.....with TA making so much money ( Hulk being the talk of the movie) i would be surprised that they wouldn't even try....marvel ceo/executives loves the monies and all..

Co-sign this.

I at least want him to write it. Regardless of what the talk was about Hulks future before the Avengers came out, i think it's safe to say that they ( Marvel and co) may be re-thinking their plans. They had no idea it would be this big....and Hulk is a large part of it's success.

I actually would like it if future movies establish that General Ross has basically abandoned his old obsessive quest. The end of TIH certainly implied it.

He honestly can't do anything to Banner/Hulk now without incurring the wrath of the rest of his team and probably SHIELD, who are more than likely outranking him.

That would be out of character for Ross. What i didn't like about TIH Ross was that he seemed genuiely evil and power hungry, yet the Ross of Angs movie seemed just concerned with doing the right thing, as hard nosed as it came off.

That has always been my understanding of the Ross character, he's a good guy just trying to clean up a mess that happened on his watch - Hulk's creation.

For anyone who actually played the incredible hulk video game. They used the original opening at the beginning of the game. Banner pulls the trigger and hulk spits out the bullet then angrily cries out "BAAAANNNEERRR!!!!!" it was really good actually. I Instantly thought of that when ruffalo described the suicide sequence.

it was as much of an ultimate destruction (which i still believe is a in the top 10 if not top 5 best superhero games of all time) rip off as captain america was of batman: AA. it wasnt total garbage just clunky and slow, had weak graphics and an ok story. it had the u-foes, bi beast, rick jones...and at random times i found myself running into the u-foes when i was just rampaging around the city. but it did have SUPER awesome skins. some of the best skins in a superhero game period imo.

It was fairly dreadful. Ultimate Destruction was much better. It was so much fun just running around punching things up. I wish they would make a current gen Hulk game (hint hint Marvel)

Someone made this suggestion that I could get onboard with.

Have Whedon co-write a Hulk script with Drew Goddard, with the latter directing the film.

I wish they'd stop making movie tie-in games, or at least stop half-***ing them. They're almost all terrible because the studio's never really interested in putting out a quality product, they just want to make a quick buck.

You posted this at the same time I was writing my post, so I missed it at first, but...YES. This would be absolutely awesome. Drew Goddard's an excellent writer in his own right, and he and Joss seem to be on the same wavelength. I'm sure he'd do a great job in bringing the Hulk to life.

I will see your argument and raise you one Spider-Man 2: The Game :P

Yeah…that game was pretty great.

As was the first Spider-man movie game tbh.

Heh, my edit makes your quote kind of wonky, sorry about that. I just don't like to double-post.

Anyway, I know there have been some movie tie-ins that turned out to be pretty good, but those tend to be the exception.

it's not that they aren't interested in a good product, it's just that a good game takes 3 or 4 times as long to make as a movie. So in order to meet the movie tie-in deadline the game is necessarily rushed and thus ****.

Also a game built on the engine of it's many predecessors and thus had a good head start.

X-men origins:Wolverine was probably one of the funest games ive had the good fortune of playing.

Sad, but true. Why must quality games take so long to make?! :funny:

Am I the only person who really likes the look of 2003's Hulk and still think the CG quality is great?

Nope, I'm with you. Ang's Hulk wasn't perfect, but after the laughable TV series, it was a balm. TIH did many things right, and I still love it as well, even though I thought it could have done some things better too.

The thing about the Hulk movies, much like the comic, is that the Hulk has varied looks which divide people's opinions. I still don't think any of the versions have gotten his face right, although TIH is the closest. But after watching Lou Ferrigno, in a bad wig and fading paint, run around in slow motion, looking confused most of the time, I'm not going to complain about any of the movie Hulks.

I've never heard this term used before.

I dunno. Hulk in TIH was, for lack of a better phrase, a bit too "handsome" for me. I really think his face in Avengers is a lot closer to the comics (though I prefer the Hulk's body in TIH over the pseudo-flabby Avengers body)

The term "Hulk"? It's the big green/gray guy who's constantly saying "smash".

JK- a balm is a painkilling/comforting agent like a topical analgesic. You might hear the term "balm for the soul" eventually.

That's something else we'll have to disagree on. I liked the TIH head, but not the body. It was too lean/bodybuilderish. I think the powerlifter type of body works the best for the Hulk because it suggests maximum power.

One thing that I've been meaning ask is this:

In your guys' opinion, could you honestly see Ed having portrayed the Banner shown in TA, or Mark having portrayed the Banner shown in TIH?

Personally, i could see Mark in the role that was shown of the character in TIH, but I have the hardest time imagining Ed in the role shown of Banner in TA.

I'm sure Norton could have done it. He's a very talented guy. However, he didn't quite have the misfit/dork feel that Ruffalo had. Ruffalo reminded me more of Bana that Norton.

Indeed.lol

Speaking of which, a bit off track, but I just wanted to mention on how I liked seeing Tony pass that fruit candy to Bruce after Bruce mentioned to Steve on what he really thought was going on (how things were fishy when it came to SHIELD).

Also, it's kind of a shame that we never got a chance to see Bruce interact with Selvig considering that "Thor" established them having been colleagues. Hell, I would have loved to have seen Selvig's reaction towards learning the truth about Banner's disappearance.
