One thing that I've been meaning ask is this:

In your guys' opinion, could you honestly see Ed having portrayed the Banner shown in TA, or Mark having portrayed the Banner shown in TIH?

Personally, i could see Mark in the role that was shown of the character in TIH, but I have the hardest time imagining Ed in the role shown of Banner in TA.

I wonder what the CG Hulk would have looked like had Norton reprised the role in The Avengers, considering it looked nothing like Norton in TIH and Hulk in TA looked just like Ruffalo.

They would have left him the same to persevere continuity. They only changed the Hulk with Ruffalo because they had a chance to start fresh.

Believe it or not, certain aspects of Norton's face were put into the TIH Hulk CG model. The CG was just a lot less detailed than what you saw in The Avengers or even HULK.

Assuming Norton stayed for The Avengers, you'd have had a more detailed version of that and his features would likely have been more apparent.

Odd, I have seen all Eric Bana's, Norton's and Ruffalo's faces in their respectiove Hulks' face.

Norton I barely saw. Bana and Ruffalo's features were both VERY present in their respective Hulks. Ruffalo's Hulk had more distinctive Hulk features though, I'd say (heavy brows, an almost neanderthal-like face).

Maybe he thunder clapped 'em.

I was hoping he was going to do that. It would've been a simple scene and yet something to cheer about. It almost feels as if they've edited out a scene where he defeats them all.

Now that Hulk's the talk of the town, i'm sure the planned tv show is under discusssion, as well as a sequel. I for one hope we DON'T get a tv show. I cannot see it working on a tv budget.

I read an article a few days ago, where one of the heads at Marvel (can't think of his name and i'll try and find the link later) said the planned tv show is moving forward, and Hulk 2 would be in the same continuity as the tv show (which would have to mean it's in the same continuity as the rest of the MCU movies) and that would lead into Hulk 2 in 2015....

..for the sake of continuity, and due to all the praise, i'm assuming Ruffalo would be tv show Banner as well, now.

I agree with you. I'd rather keep the Hulk in the theaters, and leave the TV part of the MCU to "smaller" characters. If it were up to me, I'd drop the proposed show and turn it into a movie directed by Guillermo del Toro (who's been involved with the TV show's development).

That makes no sense. No on goes form Flim to TV unless there Flim career is going down the tubes. (Charlie Sheen)

I don't think Mark Ruffalo's that big a star that he only does movies. Plenty of big name stars work in tv. Steve Carrell certainly had a movie career while working on The Office, as does John Krasinski and a quarter of the cast. Alec Baldwin is still doing fine and he has 30 Rock. Timothy Olyphant has Justified, Bryan Cranston has Breaking Bad, Ron Perlman has Sons of Anarchy, the list goes on. This isn't unprecedented. I'd say Mark Ruffalo's about as big as any of these guys if not smaller in fame than some of them.

Also, after watching The Avengers again tonight...bring back Lou Ferigno for Hulk's voice. I mean leave it all to him. Hearing Ruffalo as Hulk (theater had like...maybe 8 people this time so cheers weren't too loud) is just...weird. It doesn't fit. Hell, I'll even take Fred Tatasciore from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Ruffalo is just too laid back to be voicing Hulk.

...I hope this doesn't become something that makes me cringe in the future.

His laid back voice was odd, but it sort of made the "Puny God" line sound really...sarcastic? Instead of Hulk's usual growl or threat it was more like "heh, stupid punk"...it was odd, but I could dig it.

Lou was there. It was mix between Lou, Mark & two other sound guys from New Zealand apparently.

C.Lee I think posted the article a few pages back.

If hulk has more speaking roles in the future, they should either drastically change ruffalo's voice, or let tatasciore voice hulk. ferigno I've noticed is only good at voicing hulks short phrases. while tatasciore does great with more complete dialogue.

That wasn't just Ruffalo's voice. It was comprised of Mark, Lou, two guys from New Zealand, & the sound editor.

"Boyes goes onto explain that he showed Whedon a bunch of examples that he experimented with, and the one he liked the most "turned out to be [a combination of] Mark Ruffalo, some Lou Ferrigno and a little bit of me and two people from New Zealand. So I led with that."

Personally I loved it. Really loved the condescending tone he told off Loki in.

Big fan of the voice of Hulk in The Avengers personally.

It sounded muffled all 3 times I saw it, but I didn't think it was bad.

Yeah I agree that it would not be a good idea to make a TV show. They should keep the Hulk in the cinemas

while this isn't avengers related I just stumbled upon this, it may very well be the greatest comicbook cover I've ever seen:

would've loved to see an individual avengers poster like that,

would've loved to see an individual avengers poster like that, or TIH or TIH2 poster like that.

I loved it so much I made it my avatar. Thanks for making me aware of such a great cover Gamma. ;)
