I.hated his one line in the movie though I loved his scream. They need to get the guy who does the voice in Avengers:EMH

You know who I think would tell a really good Hulk story? Steve Moffat.

That makes no sense. No on goes form Flim to TV unless there Flim career is going down the tubes. (Charlie Sheen)

Here's an excerpt:

Feige may be cautious about another outing, but another Marvel executive, Paul Gitter, isn't. The President of Consumer Products for North America told Forbes that the studio has been "pleasantly surprised by the phenomenal response" to the Hulk, and that Marvel plans to "spin him off to a stand-alone TV program next year," followed by a big-budget franchise movie in 2015. Guess when you have a movie that almost makes back your $220 million budget in just five days of release in only 70% of foreign markets, strategies have a tendency to change.

while this isn't avengers related I just stumbled upon this, it may very well be the greatest comicbook cover I've ever seen:

Incredible cover...just wish Hulks head was a tad bigger. It's only a tiny bit larger than Banners, whereas the rest of Hulk proportions are huge compared to Banner's.

I like the idea of the actor playing Banner doing the movements and voice of the Hulk character. I think it will help them getting in the head of both Banner and Hulk; to allow a more compelling dichotomy to develop. I figure it'd be simple to deepen and add more base to Ruffalo's Hulk voice.

Well, why do we assume Hulk's voice would sound all monstrous when he talks? I think Ang got it right the first time, as did Whedon here. He sounds primal when he roars, but if he's talking he would just sound like a gruff guy, not, for lack of a better term, mentally disabled.

I'd expect Hulk to sound like anyone with Gigantism.

My assumptions and preference comes from watching the old animated televison shows and even listening to Stan Lee's explaination of how Hulk sounded in an interview.

Ang's Hulk voice is a far cry from what Whedon did with Ruffalo's. I thought Hulk's voice in Ang's Hulk was perfect. Ruffalo's sounded too much like Banner for me.

Agree.

I think the 1996 Animated series got Hulks voice perfect...that was Lou btw.

Yeah, gruff, like Fred Tatasciore's take on A:EMH. Ang Lee's and Letterier's versions were great too. Super deep with a lot of bass. I'm gonna go see the movie again today but to me, in that particular scene (Puny god), his voice was like...I don't know. Matt Dillon or Clint Eastwood or somebody. It was really weird. It sounded nothing like it did during the Black Widow scene or the other Helicarrier scenes.

I know this has been debated back and forth but after watching the film a second time I'm almost positive one of Hulk's yells can be interpreted as "STOP" when being shot at by the jet. Could go either way but I like to think that he said it =)

I heard it too, yeah. I like hearing Hulk talk more in these movies. Hoping for some actual dialogue someday. Even if it's one short scene out of an entire movie.

Seriously. I loved Hulk in this film but it still bothers me that they're not letting him talk as much as he could. My one gripe with the character in all his portrayals.

To be honest, Lou does an excellent...Hulk voice and so does Fred, but I really want Ruffalo to do Hulk's voice because I believe it will allow him to get into the minds and understand both characters more completely and bring out nuances that will naturally develop from understanding how both characters think and react.

Then they better get to work on keeping it consistently deep. "Your life?!" is really how Hulk should sound all the time.

I would have been satisfied if he instead of growling at IM to wake him up after the bomb incident, he would have said something instead.

Loved that line and the transformation that followed. It was unnerving. I just WISH they would've had Ruffalo's eyes turn green at the last second as he looked at Black Widow...would have been 100% perfect. I was fully expecting it to happen, too.

Yeah, that part made him seem a little more animal-like...I could see Ruffalo's gorilla inspiration there the most....there and the part where he smacks both fists on the floor before charging at Loki.

It wasn't terrible at all...quite funny, but words would've worked better, considering he had spoken not too long beforehand after making Loki his *****.

Wow! Spoken like a true Hulk fan! It's always a pleasure, Gamma Ra!

I would have LOVED it if Banner's eyes "went Bixby" right when he said, "Your life?!?" It would have been awesome. Honestly, it would have been right out of a horror movie, which is kinda the tone of that Hulk scene. The audience wouldn't be 100% sure about this guy...do we like him...fear him...or a little of both? :)

The more I saw it the less it bothered me...I'm just very critical of what they do with the Hulk because of my long history of enjoying the character. I love Ruffalo's movements as the Hulk. He gets a 95% in that area.

Thanks.

Whenever I see your posts, GammaBurst's, Crackerjack's and Fifthchild's on this board; I just get all thrilled inside. :woot:

Congratulations on the marriage.

So now that Hulk has been (for the most part) established as a force that can be used for good, what are the next steps for the character, journey wise. They've done the accident, the military angle, the man-on-the-run...what do you guys want next?

What's funny is if they stayed away from the primal rage crap, all that would have been unnecessary. Hulk should never have been the mindless mess that they made him out to be....As I've said a million times, all they had to do was reference the most successful runs from the comics and anyone would see Hulk is not the enemy...just misunderstood.
