That's what i'm hoping for. Brains vs Brawn. I've always liked the idea of Stern who is physically weak, trying to capture and harness and take the Hulk's physical strength to make himself the ultimate being; both brains and brawn.

They could show Sterns escaping SHIELD's custody.

Yyyess please!

If they make another hulk movie I think the opening should start with hulk or banner transforming to add mystery as to what caused it. That would be cool. And to actually make hulk interesting to watch and like some have said have him show his side of how he was born and a subconcious meeting between hulk and banner that would be cool.

That would also open up the opportunity for Bruce to once again work alongside SHIELD. I'd also like for them to introduce amadeus cho (in place of rick jones) and a true leonard samson (recruited by SHIELD); working along side bruce and hulk in both helping people and in tracking down the leader and his band of miscreants (including abomination). that alone eliminates the "man on the run" concept and it builds depth into the cast of characters.

but that's just me dreaming. lol.

Can someone explain the Gray Hulk persona to me?

Gray Hulk was the first Hulk born in the Comic Book world. He's basically a crafty, resourceful, mean spirited, surly personality who is full of lust and greed. He has been identified as Banner's Ego; which developed during his teen years. Savage Hulk is his id. Gray Hulk with all his faults could not stand bullies or bullying the weaker from anyone...even himself. He's been known to tap into Banner's genius when needed to.

Basically the double edged sword is that the smarter he gets, the less strong he gets.

This was the original consensus when Peter David first wrote this in story, but it was later changed to Banner psychologically holding the more intelligent Hulk personalities back. Banner feared Gray Hulk and later Gravage/GreenScar; because of their intelligence and craftiness and greater potential for learning or tapping into his intelligece; were more of a threat than Savage Hulk, who doesn't care for knowledge. Banner's influence was the reason why Gray Hulk and Gravage/Green Scar Hulk originally changed only at night.

Gray Hulk and Gravage/Green Scar Hulk have similar intelligence and attitudes and Gravage/Green Scar seems to be the most powerful incarnation of Banner's Hulks.

I knew The Hulk was grey when he first debuted in comics, but I'm admittedly unlearned in regards to his various personas. Fascinating stuff. The question I have is how is it determined which version of The Hulk Banner turns into? Why would Banner turn into Gray Hulk as opposed to Savage Hulk?

But yeah. I'd love to see Gray Hulk on screen.

It is fascinating. The Hulk is truly a uniquely layered character. Too bad the movies until now referenced the wrong stuff.

Gravage/Green Scar has been in control since the late 90's. It first appeared to me that he was a mix of Gray Hulk and Savage, but has since been shown to be his own individual incarnation. Jeph Loeb wrote a story where Hulk went to Las Vegas and the Gray Hulk personality exploded out of Banner. That was his Mr. Fixit body guard days stomping grounds. Savage Hulk reappeared after the World War Hulk fiasco, due to Banner feeling great remorse at what he and Gravage had done. Hulk's son Skaar appearance caused Gravage/Green Scar to re-merge as the dominant Hulk for now.

Depending on Banner's or or one of the Hulk's mental states at anytime; this will determine what Hulk dominates.

During the Peter David years, Gray Hulk and Savage Hulk fought for domination in Banner's head before Samson merged them with Banner, which created the Merged Hulk later called by writer Paul Jenkins' "the Professor".

I think I agree, it would be a good idea for TIH2 to have a cold open with the Hulk fighting against something, followed by a flashback X days prior that leads up to such. It avoids the problem the first two movies had, of very little action in the beginning.

okay. Am rehashing something here. Someone on here said that after the Hulk and Thor fight, when the planes were shooting at Hulk Hulk said "stop" and the same person said that one part during the final battle, the part where hulk has 2 aliens in his hands, and he slams them to the ground, apparently he says "Hulk Smash!" after he told us that, I was complete conscious of it. I saw it again 2 times after, and in those scenes I didn't here a word come out of Hulk's mouth, besides grunts. Can someone reiterate this for me?

I think MS should be past using Hulk as a "big reveal" moment by now. The GA has seen him in three different movies now.

If a solo Hulk film is to work, then Banner must be as resourceful as he has been lately in the comics, utilizing his brains as much as allowing Hulk to do what he does best. Enough of the "Woe is me crap!"

I mentioned "Stop". 99% sure I heard it.

As for Hulk Smash, it was not in there.

I'm not sure why we didn't see this:

CAPTAIN: And Hulk...smash.

HULK: Hulk...smash!

And then Hulk proceeds to smash.

I dunno. He said "Puny God", but not "Hulk smash".

Did anyone notice when Tony and Banner are talking with the screen between them that Bruce's face reflection is that of Hulks face? ;) pretty cool!

I know right? Or something like: "Hulk smash big metal worm!"

^This somebody we know?

i would have preferred:

Cap: Hulk.......(not knowing what to say)

Hulk: .......Smash....?

Cap:..........* slow nod* SMASH!

I would've preferred Hulk didn't just say "smash" but "Hulk Smash" in response to Cap. It would've been easy to get that in there.

He does say Hulk smash its just not so evident. But its right after he jumps, when he grabs the alien and jumps you can hear "Smashh". Right before that he shouts a very prolonged "huulk" but its harder to hear.

I guess after all three movies it's safe to say that the Hulk persona basically has named himself Hulk after maybe hearing it so much.

You got to admit; that even though the Hulk didn’t have many lines in the TA, he showed a hell of a lot more personality than his predecessors. Heck, I think TA is the only time that I recall ever seeing the Hulk smile to something in a film. And the Hulk’s smirk after sucker punching Thor out of the frame just made the scene feel richer for me as well.lol

I call BS on that CHUD info. Sounds too good to be true. Particularly this bit:

Marvel is VERY interested in keeping Whedon attached as producer for their upcoming slate of films, so much so that I've heard alot about Whedon collaborator Drew Goddard being in talks to tackle the next Hulk film for second quarter 2015 leading up to The Avengers.

Funny. A few people on here had made that exact same suggestion.
