It's been what 14 years now?

The Raimi Spider-Man still looks the most impressive. Shows you how far they hit it out of the park back then.

I still don't get how the new one is "the most comically accurate" aside from the eyes.

Nobody other than that harry dude is using that logic.

The best part about the new MCU suit is the webbing pattern. They fricking nailed it.

They could lose the black stripes though. And change the spider logo.

I find this suit to be just about half an inch below the Raimi suit. Personally, I'd leave out the eyes changing shape, and just leave them at the smaller Ditko size. Make the front spider emblem larger, and mimic it to the back, we're all good.

New suit is while below the rami one and the amazing spider man 2 one. The flat webbing just doesn't work and the odd black thing in between some of the red doesn't work and also you can hardly see the chest symbol. The chest symbol is way way to small.

Can anyone answer for me, just WHY have the black stripes been added ? Other than differentation to seperate from previous, there is zero reason too.

Yeah I've been thinking the same and no I can't. Aesthetically it breaks up the natural flow of the suit.

I'm positive it was to add an "MCU flair" or stamp on it to show it was Marvel's version, which ironically due to the stripes is arguably less comic accurate than the Raimi or TASM 2 suit.

I don't mind the suit other than that.

I think it's so they can eventually add in the Avengers patch.

Seeing the three side by side like that really solidifies the TASM suit as my favorite, the material and colors they used look so good, especially how the colors pop in that nighttime lighting. We've been lucky so far though, despite which is your favorite, all the suits have been Spider-Man. We haven't had them try something drastically different like some other franchises would.

Your view is certainly in the minority but everyone can have their own personal faves.

I really wish that Sandman BAF series Hasbro released like 6 months after the movie wasn't so expensive to find now. :(

The whole series lot? Like 400$!!! Come on! Individual figures are like 70-80$

Jesus it's not even worth it, and there will never be a release either, so you're left in a pretty bad spot.

^ Now there's a great Aunt May. Harris was perfect and is going to be a hard act to follow.

Yep. She was perfect casting and they portrayed her so well. I shared that picture because I had never seen it before.

On another note, I still geek-out to this day that Shazam and Superman were mentioned in a Spider-Man movie :)

And yet again on another note, the scene in Spider-Man 3 where Harry starts having flashbacks and they show a brief moment of him holding his father in his arms after Spider-Man brought him back to the mansion, I always wondered if they re-shot and reenacted that part of the first movie as they were making 3, or if they just took an outtake from the first Spider-Man movie and put it in there. Regardless, it made me want an extended version of Spider-Man 1 even more.

Yeah. When you put Raimi's suit in the context of the times it came out in, it's rather brilliant and progressive. Don't forget that it came out merely two years after Bryan Singer's black leather costumes with the 'what did you expect, yellow spandex?" ridicule of the genre.

Yeah, I could be wrong, but it was the brightest, and most accurate version of a comic costume since the Reeve Superman films, in terms of big movies released in theaters. I don't count things like the Phantom or the cheap looking Avengers movies.

Somebody on eBay is selling a screen-used mask from Spider-Man 2 for $22,000 US. Sometimes I wish I were rich, but even then that seems excessive. XD

To be honest, I've seen some pretty spot on cosplayers recently that look just as good. The screen-used sounds one great, but I wouldn't even know what to do with one, other than hang it like Jameson did it.

I'd probably never take it off.

And while the Raimi suit is an incredible achievement holding a special place in my little heart, I do find the new outfit to be my favorite.
