Lol, it's certainly an interesting concept. Though, I wouldn't want to see it in a film.

Agreed. Harry Osborn works better as a more tragic villain, motivated by his desire to live up to his father's legacy. Venom is a more straight up terrifying villain. The kind that keeps Peter awake at night.

Agreed. Though, I tend to look at the GOblin as being the one who keeps peter up at night. We already whent over that though, lol.

I think they both do. I think that Venom tends to be the more physically threatening one. Trying to combine Harry Osborn and Venom could work if done the right way, but it's not the best idea.

If I were asked to write a story where Harry Osborn becomes Venom, here's how I would do it: Harry starts off as Green Goblin II, using his father's legacy as a starting point. After multiple failed attempts on Peter's life, he comes to realize that, in the end, his father's methods didn't work and he must play by his own rules. Then he would accept the symbiote and become Venom. Thoughts?

As a What If? story, it could work. I think maybe Harry would join with the SYmbiot against his will at first.

Wonderful.

But I think I'm speaking for quite a few people when I say that I'm honest to God glad that Sam didn't do that.

I was looking in the "If Venom is used again, this is how he should look!" thread, and after seeing what some Venom fans want him to look like in film, I am very glad that Raimi and co. used a conservative Venom design sans the long tongue, drool, et cetera that many people like to add to him.

That stuff just doesn't work in my opinion, for a scary character, because it's hard to take seriously. It looks ridiculous, and that was the point of such features.

Why. Why should he be put on film again?

Ock and Goblin should be, cause a trilogy without his greatest foes is unthinkable.

But why venom?

Why should he ever be put on film again? Because he's Venom. He is one of Spider-Man's greatest foes. There's a reason his popularity ranks with Goblin and Ock, and it's not just his cool look. I'm not saying that he should appear in a film before those two, or even in this trilogy, but to say he should appear on film again is wrong, in my opinion.
