I hope Young's SM3 score gets an official release at some point, by La La Land or whoever else wants to take it up. I think he did a fine job, notably with his symbiote and Sandman material.

They want to, but Sony refuses, as does Young, for reasons I'll state below. However, if you e-mail Chris, I'm sure he'll be glad to send a promo out, featuring some score. He did for me. Wonderful guy he is, really loves his fans.:yay:

The score was my favorite part of SM3. I think they couldn't release it because of Danny Elfman. Can someone confirm that for me?

Yes and no. Originally, there was going to be a CD release, but Young was told to edit out all of Elfman's themes he had to use, and since he felt there would be no point (seriously, I agree), it was cancelled....which sucks because Young did the best work for a Spidey film yet.

I always loved this image. I wish I had a higher res version. Goblin looks great here.

This the closest I could find!

Well that's awesome! What is his e-mail address?

I don't have it memorized lol. I asked over two years ago. There should be a contact section on his website.

I wonder if he tried creating a new theme for Spider-Man?

Nope. However, he did in fact create new themes for MJ, Aunt May, and the love theme. Not including Venom/Sandman. They were all rejected in favor of Elfman's, but you can hear it on his promo. He also wrote a end credits score suite, but a song that went unused in the final film.

Looks like he doesn't have his e-mail up but you can message him on his official website. Let's see if he responds.

I'm glad they kept Elfman's main theme. I think it's one thing to scrap a theme after one movie, but another thing to scrap a theme after two. It was well established.

I agree 100%. I give the Raimi films a lot of credit for keeping a consistent theme throughout the series. The X-Men movies kept changing the music for each and every film, which is pretty annoying if you ask me.

Well, ASM is changing up the theme music too. Is that annoying?

I'm glad they ended up keeping Elfman's theme for all the Raimi films. I was kinda shocked when Elfman came out and said those things about Raimi, it sucks they had a falling out.

But they made amends! Elfman scored Oz, did he not?

I'll be cool with it as long as they keep the TASM2 theme for the third movie. As we were discussing earlier, it feels more awkward when you change a theme that was already used twice.

But they made amends! Elfman scored Oz, did he not?

Yup. They made up. :)

How many times did you guys watch of the movies through the years?
I think I saw them this much

Spider-Man 3: 6 times

Spider-Man 2: 8 times

Spider-Man: 7 times

I've lost count on the number of times I've watched Spider-Man 2. I've seen Spider-Man 1 at least 15 times. Spider-Man 3 around six or seven times.

I don't keep track of how many times I've seen a movie, but I would imagine I've seen all of them at least 5 times. I probably saw the first one the most, because it came out first (obviously), and I had already seen it many times when the second came out, and so on.

I've seen each film around 10 or so times, probably even more. I was obsessed with SM1 when it came out.

I tend to watch my favorite films once a year.(I just finished the Spidey-Trilogy a week ago :woot:) So I guess you can figure that in how many years past for each movie x seeing it in a theater 3 times,x seeing it once extra the first time I got the DVD.:oldrazz:

I know I saw Spider-Man 2 five times in theatres, Spider-Man 3, four times. I can't remember how many times I saw Spider-Man, but it was probably twice.

Countless viewings at home, on DVD plus the Blu-Ray trilogy boxset.

I have watch eatch one of the spider man movies proble around 35 times or more. Spider man 2 probly around 40-45 times. In theatres I think spider man 1 once spider man 2 twice and spider man 3 once.

I've lost track. I seen each film dozens of times, maybe hundreds. But,as far as seeing them in a theater goes....

Spider-man: 4 times
Spider-man 2: 4 times
Spider-man 3: 7 times(most times I've ever gone to see a movie)

Nice!

Spider-Man 2 is the most I've seen a movie in theatres. That record will probably not be broken, the most I've seen a movie that I've thoroughly enjoyed the last few years is 3 times. Parenthood makes a trip to the movies a special occasion, haha.

I've seen SM2 many times. Not sure the count. I've watched it on PSP UMD format, DVD and Blu-ray. Seen the other Raimi flicks a lot as well.

I've seen each Spidey movie 5 times in the theatres. Beyond that, who knows how many times I've seen each of the movies. Honestly it's gotta be over 30 for SM & SM2, between seriously watching it or just having it on in the background.

I usually watch SM1 and SM2 back-to-back, and sometimes I'll get through the third one just because it's there. SM3 actually is really good for drinking games though.
