Why is there a new poster named Green Goblin when there's an old poster named The Green Goblin?

I had originally wanted The Green Goblin after my name change. As long as my name as even a slight deference it is acceptable. I could have called myself "LarrysLegend" and it would be fine.

Can you show me any posts of The Green Goblin?

Good Lord Kane you're a beast I love you! That gif with Doc Ock's glasses is so GOOD! Well they all are good but that one is the best. Spidey 2 is so GOOOOOD!

^Spidey 2 is still amazing, I just cant see this new franchise getting to that level of quality, and the new pics and trailer snippets havent swayed my opinion on that.

I really wish the Raimi franchise had carried on like the X-Men franchise has, shame.

Those gifs are sexy.

Oh, and yeah I agree AVEITWITHJAMON, it's not like SM3 is so universally disliked that there was no other way to do it than reboot it. Also, after seeing the leaked trailer for TASM2, I can't honestly say I just don't understand the point of that franchise. Kane, could you make one of Peter dancing from SM3 for me? If not, then the one from him doing that epic swing onto the train from SM2 (bottom left gif), please.

Sublime gifs, Kane.

Doc Ock was such a visual bad ass villain.

Exactly, SM3 wasnt as bad as X-Men 3 or Origins and yet the X-franchise recovered from them and has now got back on track with two great movies in First Class and The Wolverine. I really do think had Raimi been able to do Spidey 4 with no studio interference he would have gotten this franchise back on track as well. I respect him for leaving because what Sony was wanting was stupid, but I still miss the fact we didnt get more Spidey movies from Raimi.

As for the new franchise, TASM has grown on me a lot since the cinema, but I just not feeling this sequel. I dont want to watch the leaked trailer, but I hope the official can change my mind as I am a Spidey fan. That Rhino suit looks awful on the poster though.

For TASM, it's the 100% opposite. I used to like it, but the more I watched it, the more I disliked it lol. Couldn't care less about the sequel either.

Thanks for those amazing gifs, you reminded me it's time to rewatch the trilogy. I really loved the story arc of Peter, Harry, and MJ in Rami's series and while the third movie was a step down from one and two, I still found it a satisfying end to the trilogy. I still see it as only a handful of bad minutes in an otherwise pretty good movie.

I've not been able to get into the new movies very much, don't really know why. They just don't excite me as much. But maybe the trailer on Thurs will change my mind.

Am I the only one who always had a problem with this scene? It looks so...unnatural :csad:

Are you talking about the superhuman in the red & blue outfit running up the wall? Or the fact that it's sped up with a lower frame rate?

Love this shot. One of my favourites in the film.

What's natural about a guy swinging from webs and crawling up buildings? I guess you must love the Nicholas Hammond TV series from 1977. That's as realistic as Spider-Man is going to get.

Sony should have invested in Raimi for another trilogy in my opinion. They could have easily been approaching their own film-event with the obvious Sinister 6th movie, and it would have been garnering more hype without all the confusion surrounding the reboot.

Glad SM3 provided enough closure, but I think there was plenty of room for more development in the original series.

I sincerely hope so. It looks awesome. One of the best action Spidey shots ever.

I was waiting for someone to say this...
But obviously I don't mean that. I have a problem with the way he moves in this scene. Not a big thing, but still kind of bothers me.
It bothered me when it was recreated in TSSM, too.

Spidey 2 was pretty good but I don't think it was close to reaching the best quality that Spidey can offer.

Peter/MJ/Spidey were ok to mediocre in the film IMO. I'll never get the praise fans and critics gave it!

Spider-Man 2 was more than that. It really boiled down to other things than Spider-Man swinging around the city, saving NYC from baddies, like the core of Peter/Spidey himself.

Spider-Man 2 essentially asks us, "Why would Peter continue to do this if all he is ever going to get is resentment and unhappiness?"

Once Peter realizes that not only is it his destiny, but also that he may not be the hero that NYC wants, but the one it needs (sorry for basically quoting TDK, but that's the best way to put it.) It's also an exceptionally personal and well-directed film.

To quote Bruce Campbell: "I like you."
