I have always wanted that one.

I have NEVER seen this for sale anywhere.

I'd LOVE to get this myself. I'm pretty sure I've seen this for sale on both Amazon and ebay.

Joker,I remember you posted that before and ever since I saw it I've been obsessed with finding that myself. It's my ultimate Spidey collectible!

Same. It is such bull**** no Ock busts or statues were really ever made. You would think Spider-Man 2 was an unanticipated flop.
We have Green Goblin, Venom, New Goblin, and Sandman busts and statues but NO Ock aside from that impossible-to-find one you just posted.

Here is one of my more recent pieces I did at work last fall. It isn't as perfect as I'd like it to be, but I did it standing up and crouched over on a small space lol.

Nice job

And I have to confess....I've just been listening to the James Brown remix song from Spidey 3 and been dancing like what Tobey does outside the store...

Don't judge me! :hehe:

Very cool! Is that charcoal? I like the grimy texture you got.

Nice avvy, too- some SM2 bus banner, right?

I watched some trailers earlier because TASM2 made me want to rewatch the old trailers..and god damn I wish SM3 got an extended cut or even the deleted scenes released. :csad:

I've been asking that same thing myself. Where's all the Doc Ock statues/busts?? He was clearly the best villain of the trilogy and one of the best comic book film villains ever and he barely has any merchandise! :cmad:

Pencil actually. Thanks. =)

And yes, only to make it more universal and stand for just the Raimi Spidey, I erased Ock from his eye and fixed the suit's tears and rips.

I like the moment on the train during SM2.

"He's...just a kid."

That always struck a chord with me.

I like how he takes his mask off and lets it go atop a speeding train and the kids somehow got a hold of it. :p

A kid played by 28 year old Tobey Maguire. That scene kind of confused me when I first watched it.

You know what's gonna confuse me? Watching a 29 year old graduate High School in TASM 2. I always bought that line. Even now. It just works.

I've always loved the line,"Find him. Or I'll peel the flesh off her bones."
Ock has such menace in that scene.

The final swing in SM2 is so rewarding, given all he went through before. Order was finally restored in the city and his personal life, even if just for that moment. SM2 really nailed the life of a superhero, the man behind the mask.

''All the things you've been thinking about, Peter... make me sad...''

This scene gets me misty eyed everytime. :csad:

Martin Sheen did a great job in The Amazing Spider-man, but Cliff and Tobey really nailed the relationship. Raimi really knew how to do emotional stuff without making it too sacchrine, yet still allowing it to be sentimental and ethereal.

Agreed. Sheen was fine as Ben. But, I didn't feel much when Ben died in TASM. However, in SM1, that is a heartbreaking scene. The way it happens was far better handled in SM1. As are most of the emotional beats of the film.

Agreed. I love the evil grin he gives MJ right before he grabs her;

I agree, Raimi nailed the emotional scenes. Maguire especially shined.

For example, in Spider-Man 1. His whole speech to MJ in the hospital, not to sound like a sap, was beautiful. He delivered it so well. Andrew Garfield is a great actor but I cannot imagine how much stuttering his version of Peter would have if he did it.

I also LOVE the tiny little scene after his graduation when he goes up to his room and the camera is looking at his face as Aunt May comes in behind him and you can just see the amount of regret and sadness in his face for his involvement in his Uncle's death. It's quite heartbreaking. That whole scene is really great because of how Peter takes Ben's words and then the Spidey theme plays as he pulls out the costume design. It is a little gem in that movie.

Same thing in Spider-Man 2, just before he tells Aunt May about Ben's death, his face just sells it so well. Also when Aunt May breaks down in front of him at his birthday. You see all the guilt and sadness. Do I even have to bring up the Uncle Ben dream sequence before he gives up being Spidey?

In Spider-Man 3, the whole scene at the end with Flint Marko telling what really happened, his face from the start which was filled with anger and vengeance really transitioned well through Flint's story, from sorrow and misinformed to forgiveness.

There are so many times Maguire gets it. He is so underrated and as of lately so under-appreciated for this series.

I think it's safe to say that the best part of the Raimi movies is the drama. It's really well handed, and they are incredible emotionally. TASM might have other things working for it, like a more "close to the comics" feel, and better action (because CGI today is just better than it was several years ago), but the Raimi movies had incredible performances.

I hate to compare the two universes, but when I think about the original SM, I think of how iconic it still feels. So many scenes that are really memorable, and the way Uncle Ben died, it didn't just affect Peter, but it made you feel sad as a viewer. Sam Raimi is just a great filmmaker, and he knows how to make a good dramatic scene.
