:awesome: x infinity. Awesome video.

Every time I listen to Danny Elfman's opening credits for the first two films, a huge wave of happiness and nostalgia hits me. It takes me back to when I would see these movies in theaters, and would get all excited when I heard the beginning of the opening theme. The only other series of movies that would have the same effect on me would be Star Wars.

Also, every time I listen to Aunt May's speech from Spider-Man 2 ... The feels! Spider-Man 2 will become 10 years old on June 30th this year, and that speech still gets me every time. Rosemary Harris was an absolutely wonderful and charming Aunt May.

I still can't stop praising Spider-Man 2, after all of this time. I doubt any other comic book movie will have the same effect on me, which is perfectly okay by me. :)

The aunt may spech was great and spider man 2 is my second favorte CBM behide only dark knight rises and spider man 2's train fight is still the best action sence in any CBM and most of the CGI in the movie looks great or good still. Spider man 1 witch i still like hasnt aged has while has spider man 2 though

I think Spider-Man 1 & 2 make a great duology.

I really wish I could re-live the day where I saw Spider-Man 1 for the first time. I was 9 years old and probably the happiest kid alive. I was already a fan of Spider-Man at that point, but that film really multiplied my love for the character by a billion.

I agree with the duology comment. Raimi's Spider-Man movies were on their way to becoming my favorite trilogy, but then Spider-Man 3 happened. Again, I don't think Spider-Man 3 is a bad movie, but it's so below the quality of the first two. That's okay though, my love for the first two films hasn't faded.

The day I saw the first Spider-Man movie in theaters was a magical day for me, as silly as that sounds. I was almost 16 years-old when it came out. As a kid, Spider-Man was always my favorite superhero; was obsessed with the comic books and the cartoons. I was actually dreading the movie! I kept thinking, "Tobey Maguire? The PLEASANTVILLE guy? This is going to suck!" I didn't even see the movie on its opening weekend, because I was convinced I was going to hate it. My older brother managed to get me to see it with him on the second weekend it was out, and boy ... I walked out of that theater in the happiest mood you could think of. I would say the movie multiplied my love for the character as well. :)

yeah i dont think spider man 3 was bad far form it. The thing is that spider man 1 was good and started showing what super hero movies could do and then spider man 2 took it to a whole new leve and then form the previews of spider man 3 it looked like it was again going to take it to onther level again but it didnt. The dark knight triligy is my favorite triligy but if spider man 3 had been has good has it looked it would have been basicly a tost up for me between the spider man trligy and dark knight trligy. This is how i look at the dark knight triligy vs spider ma trilgy. The best to me where dark knight rises vs spider man 2 slight edge to dark knight rises. Then batman begins vs spider man 3 edge to batman begins and then dark knight vs spider man big edge to dark knigt.

Hey, even the Godfather Part I & II make a great duology. Trilogy? Not so much.

I remember seeing Spider-Man two weeks after it first came out. I think the tickets were always sold out and this was before I had internet in my house so I couldn't reserve tickets beforehand. However, this was the first movie that I saw more than once in theaters (I saw it twice). My parents always told me that you pay to see a movie once in theaters and after that you can wait for the VHS to come out. They saw how much I loved the film and, well, changed their minds pretty quickly. lol

Looks pretty good
I think the lenses could have looked better

Coming from the yellow-eyed Hulk? :argh:

Thank you though. :p

Not to sound too much like a perv here, but Kirsten looks so great and sexy in the original. This pic proves it. Um...WOW. She really looks the part of MJ here.
As for Spider-man 2.1. Well,I always love seeing deleted or extended scenes from my favorite films, esp. Raimi's Spider-man films. But while they were cool, there was nothing there that I wished they left in. Now,if they would just release a Spidey 3.1. There's plenty of things there I'd love to see. But I know they won't. I don't know why but Sam Raimi has a grudge against releasing deleted or extended scenes?

I am thinking of watching the Raimi trilogy before seeing TASM when it opens here in the states. My enthusiam for TASM2 has been waning since I started to suspect the villains were not looking good, and the reviews seem to indicate that is true. I was already lukewarm to the last one, so I was hoping for better.

So, I may treat myself to my Spidey fix before seeing it! Whenever I get the chance in the next 2 weeks.

Man what an awesome video. It takes me back. From 2002-2007 I loved nothing more than Sam Raimi's Spider-Man. Nothing. And while I have learned to accept the new series and look forward to the Amazing Spider-Man 2, I don't know if I'll ever be so in love with Spidey as I was when these movies were coming out.

Aww, cool. Never seen this picture before. :)

I think Kirsten Dunst looked the best in Spider-Man 1, just for the comic book accuracy. I think she's pretty in all of the movies, but her hair in the first one really fits MJ.

Never really understood why so many people don't find Kirsten Dunst to be "pretty enough." Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about since I'm a heterosexual female, but I've always thought she was really pretty!

J.K. Simmons as JJJ was perfection. I can't see anyone else in that role, honestly.
