The official INCREDIBLE Hulk thread........... - Part 1

Isn't Bruce also doing mad scientist experiments to try and rejoin the Hulk?

Yeah he's gone all Dr. Moreau on us, mutating animals in some secret lab in the wild. Hulk is sent after him by a woman named Von Doom who has a scarred face, body armor, and assault droids - but claims "No relation" to anyone else you may know who fits that description.

I have to say...I loved issue 2. So far Aaron's done three things I really like...

Firstly, he's put Hulk back into a Planet Hulk-esque situation. Which, while personally, I've never had any interest in, it is a mega popular story, do it'd make sense to include it.

Secondly, in this second issue, he's harkened back to the more classic Hulk stories featuring Bruce's inner struggle, and in this, he almost seems to integrate some more of the...patheticness from the Ultimate universe at I haven't read as much in the 616 universe.

Lastly, I really like how he's taking Bruce down this route of outright insanity. It really seems like a logical progression for the character, and I love how he's delving more into the irony of Bruce hating the Hulk...but needing him desperately too.

Well said CConn. And to that i'd like to add how Banner is also acting a bit like his father Brian Banner also, to 26 and 27. Issue 2 was superb, Bruce and Betty's interactions was well done. I felt for Bruce a bit when he said that everyone close to him was a "HULK" now, with references to Betty and old Thunderbolt Ross being gamma powered now, and he wasn't. He felt left out out, and ironicly- he missed his other self. I can't wait for the next issue, especially the way 2 ended! Should be good!
