Um, yeah.

Someone suggested Dwayne Johnson not too long ago. Great idea actually.

Rock has a ton of charisma and charm, but he is a mediocre actor.

You can only suggest bald actors anyway.

I heard Snyder has in his power a list of all the bald actors in Tinseltown.

I am not much of a purist, to me Luthor does not have to be bald or anything like that. People have an idea of what Luthor looks like and they should try and make him look similar to that. That is why I am not thrilled by having Laurence Fishburne as Perry White (then again, unless they had picked Bruce McGill or Harvey Keitel I was going to be disappointed). An actor with a close buzz cut, would look better than a relatively young guy who looks bald.

For example, a cut like this:

looks better than this:

The Rock should only be one DC Comics character, and that is Teth-Adam. No one else should even be considered for that role.

Well I was joking my friend, but I agree. That could work.

And I'm also not too thrilled about Fishburne as Perry, but oh well.

I know you were joking, but I just wanted to throw that out there. Too many actors who are bald are thrown out there, and the ones who have hair, well people say they would look awkward bald. A buzz cut though does not look awkward. Unless you have a completely misshaped head, just about everyone can pull of a buzz cut, even some women, so I would definitely prefer that for Luthor. I'd love a Luthor who just has hair, but chooses to keep it short, or a Luthor who is thinning and just uses a buzz cut.

20 years ago maybe...
The man is only 55 years old. If you're one of the people who think Clark & Lex should be relatively close in age, then I get it. But if they're going to make Lex an established businessman, 55 isn't really that old. Plus, he still looks good. If you can envision him bald, he's got a great look - and he comes with plenty of sci-fi/action experience, as well as name recognition.

I like Biehn, but I actually think he looks a bit older than 55. Now, I'm not opposed to an older Lex, but I don't think I want one that is that much older. Granted, I was on board with the idea of Meloni playing Lex, but Meloni could pass for 40-45 (despite being 50). I agree that it's realistic for an established businessman Lex to have a few years on Clark, but given that Lex is supposed to be a genius, a Lex in his mid-30s isn't so far-fetched.

I consider the bald head of Lex Luthor to be the equivalent somewhere between the trunks and the cape for Superman. It makes him instantly recognizable in Superman's setting like the cape, but if you get a good story and actor like John Shea in Lois and Clark, you can go the opposite direction like the trunks.

Personally, I prefer the bald head and I really liked Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor. He had a near perfect journey from sympathetic anti-hero to complete monster villain. He's pretty much the reason I like the idea of Lex and Clark being former friends from Smallville.

Lastly, if you're going to give Luthor hair, I feel you should skip the buzz-cut and go straight for a mane, like Shea or the Comic's Luthor II. I remember being a kid watching Lois and Clark, and I remember the episode where Luthor got resurrected and started picking at his skull and muttering about loosing his hair. I was still in the single digits but I remembered how awesome that was. If Luthor gets hair, I want to see him loose it as a sign of something bad going down.

i really dont want an actor who is already bald it takes i dont know the intrigue out of it

I honestly couldn't care less if an actor is already bald. I want an awesome Lex for once and a great performance. THAT is what matters to me.

What about Bruce Willis?

I'm serious.

I think Arnold Vosloo would be a good pick for Lex. He has that unhinged psychotic look and is an excellent actor to boot. The only thing against him is the fact that he has played a bald character before in The Mummy Returns.

Is everyone just posting random pictures of bald people now? LOL There's more to Lex Luthor than his dome. In keeping with the moment though, here's random bald guy #10:
