I'd be cool with that.....I just want him to have a presence....seeing those protestors in those set pics...I wonder what they were for...someone had said those were real???

I'm sure he would be awesome, but it's kind of expected and it's like all he's done is villain roles.....has he ever been a good guy in any movie? Lol

Maybe so, but he's good at what he does. I'm more interested in the skills of the particular actor than being surprised by an unpredicted casting choice ......... some guys like him just have that look that's perfect for villains

Don't get me wrong I would be more than estatic if he did get cast, cause you already know what he's gonna bring to the role, it's just less inspiring if you know what I mean...:)

If Cooper is cast, I hope he portrays Luthor in a constant state of shirtlessness. We can't let those abs go to waste.

I know this is a crazy reason to be against him... but after staring at pics of him for a while trying to figure out why I can't see him as Lex (despite him fitting my criteria of a younger Lex who is suave and charming), I know what it is...

His eyes are too 'pretty' :p

I mean, just look at them!

Call me what you will, that's how I feel and i'm sticking to it!

^^^

Trina cheat on Henry with Bradley Cooper, huh?! :oldrazz: Bad bad girl!

Well, considering I don't care for Cooper in his macho "charming rogue" roles because I feel there's always an undercurrent of sleaziness when he's putting on that "charming" act...I think his charms might be better suited to Lex than these rogue-ish heroes he's always playing.

That said, I don't believe that report for a second.

I definitely think, if true, it's a bit left field. I don't really see him as the Luthor type. I mean, I actually wanted Shannon for Lex, I see Cooper more as John Corben.

Still, just hope for now he looks good bald.

If its true, I think Bradley Cooper is awesome but I just don't know for Lex unless the director has seen something we haven't. I just think he's too likeable but if true we shall see.

If true then dashed are hopes of him as The Flash. I don't believe it, though.

I'd be fine with it. However, I'm digging what Morrison is doing with Lex in that he's doughy at first only to improve his physical shape once Superman comes on the scene. Not sure is Cooper would be willing to put on a few seeing as he is Sexiest Man Alive and all (assuming they would even go that route).

Why would he need to put on a few? in some versions Lex is more than in shape.

I was referring to what Morrison is doing in Action Comics. He is having Lex start out as pudgy and then his gets himself in shape as a way to compete with Superman.

I get what you mean

Indeed his innate, arrogant charm should prove to be beneficial for Lex's egotism. If this is true however, Cooper needs to make a sharp turn and deliver a non-Cooper performance. I'd be greatly disappointed to simply see an extension of his other conventional roles.

That aggression, ambition, and envy, needs to inform his entire character. Cooper's on a fairly good run, but I don't think he's had a particularly standout dramatic role yet. I'd be more than glad if he delivered it here, but I'm being cautiously optimistic.

Bradley Cooper as Lex would be incredible. If he played a character similar to Limitless it would be perfect. Agree with others who've said he has an arrogance/sleaziness to him.

Not a bad choice for Luthor. Mark Strong would still be my #1 pick, but I like it. But how does he (Cooper) look bald? :O

He also could make an interesting Joker with those sharp features.

Wait......

...what if Joker and Luthor....were the same person...?!

;)

Im' sorry, but this is Lex.......... BILLY ZANE

:lmao:

But anyway:

Couldn't disagree more.

His character in Limitless is NOTHING like Lex IMO.
