Nah. Plus he doesn't look like Obama at all.

This is the Hype. Any light-skinned black man is obviously going to be seen as an Obama look-alike. :o

Well I still say leave Lex totally out of it, there is no need to get him involved so early on. But all things point to that anyway, so hopefully it will be so. I would hate him being in the movie throught, pulling strings from behind, even if we dont see him. Would make him too much of a primary villain sort of thing, if the actions he does behind the curtain have an effect on the outcome. Though If its written REALLY well, I could be conent with him being in the background as well.

not to be rude or anything but I think it's clear you don't understand Lex Luthor, because that's the type of guy he is. He is in the background somewhere pulling the strings unseen letting someone else's hands get dirty. So if he is in the movie but hidden behind the scenes then I'm all for that...then have his huge reveal as the master mind in the sequel

Sorry, I'm not interested in waiting until the supposed 4th film for Luthor. He's not just a villain; he's the most important supporting character after Lois Lane. He should be in the 2nd film in some compactly at the very least.

he should be in just about every single film...not in a major role, but in the background watching, plotting, waiting

I can't stand when people gripe about too much Lex. I understand Superman has more villains, but Lex is the most important one! Lex wants his hand in EVERYTHING and therefore he should always be around. Now hell yeah I wanna see Brainiac and Mongul and Darkseid and Doomsday...hell, maybe even the Weather Wizard on the big screen. But with this being a reboot, they are going to start from the ground up and work it all out

If hes not in the film, i at least want his name mentioned throughout the movie. Papers with his name on the front page, LexCorp building in the background. But i am hoping for an appearance at the end of the movie and i do hope they dont even release any information on casting if he is in the film, that would be an awesome surprise.

I agree

I can't see them NOT mentioning Lex or his company... It'd just be so weird for them to cut him out of the story altogether, even if they don't want him to have a physical presence yet.

For the movies Tatum has been in, it hasn't required much acting on his part.

Stop Loss and Fighting both required acting as well in my opinion. He failed miserably.

tatum was awesome in GTRYS

i have come to a fact he is playing the wrong characters

Yea me to...it clearly shows how much they don't get Lex when they say that. I can understand if they don't want him to play a big role but not wanting him at all ever in this franchise?.....sigh

I would rather they not make a decision on an actor yet for what would amount to a quick cameo. They should however keep lexcorp in the background like most are saying here.

The good thing about snyder is that there is more of a chance of this happening, considering how much he cared to adapt watchmen.

Yea but he didn't write the script

My Spidey senses are telling me not to look...

Anyway, I think Meloni could be Lex, but I'm not going to bet on it. I'm fine with Lex's presence being known, and his official introduction to be saved for a sequel.

that's just lame...some people can be so stupid. They say they understand one thing and then when asked to explain...just shove their foot right in their mouth. Lex either needs to be a major role in a film or a background villain. You can't not have Lex

It's like saying we shouldn't have the Joker in the post-Nolan Batman series because we've seen him twice on film. You can't have Batman without the Joker and you cannot have Superman without Lex. The characters have too much thematic importance, we need them to understand our heroes fully.
