how would daniel craig a guy who has played nothing but good guys - Cowboys and aliens, james freaking bond, girl with dragon tattoo, dream house, defiance, munich, etc.

i dont think i have ever seen craig play a villain he fits with your big name not associated with these types of roles, so the GA wont suspect too much.

james bond playing a villain:oldrazz:

Well, he's a villain in Road To Perdition and less of a villain in TombRaider, but it's more that he has a certain look really. He doesnt look particularly friendly. Probably even less bald. He'd look downright scary with those blue eyes. And even when he plays the hero he still comes off as cold and cynical.

I'd feel a little jipped if Lex wasn't bald.

I would too. Baldness is Lex's iconic look. If they're going to foist a redheaded Lois on us they can at least give us a bald Lex!

I want Lex bald. BUT, if they go the non bald route I'm ok as long as they don't use the hair loss as a motive or as going insane. To me that's just lame. I'm sorry but if i had THAT much money and i lost my hair, then I'm just going to get a sick ass wig or good ass surgery lol...i WILL NOT vow vengeance lol.

Especially since being bald isn't all that stigmatized anymore. It's even seen as being cool.

I agree. He shouldnt come across as an obvious villain, which is why I dont get the support for Isaacs, Craig and the likes.

I did support Mark Strong myself, but I think it SHOULD be someone likable. And not obvious at all. Preferably played by a big name not associated with these types of roles, so the GA wont suspect too much.

Someone earlier in the thread suggested Matt Damon, which would be pretty clever casting to me.

Anybody ever think Clancy Brown could make a good Lex in live action? I mean, hes awesome as Lex in the cartoons but I think he has a very interesting look that would be ideal for Lex

Stuhlbarg is bald and a decent actor, no argument, but I dunno - I don't get this likeable charisma off him.

Whilst Lex is obviously the villain of the story, if they're going for the CEO/politican angle, then he has to have incredible charisma and come across as hugely likeable to the general populace. It's only us (the audience), Superman and a few select others who will know what he's really like behind closed doors.

Whatever actor they cast in the role has to be believable, but also has to be naturally charismatic.

For me at least, Stuhlbarg is one of the few actors that I can see play the smooth and charming, family-friendly but also a Moriarty-esque character.

Btw he's never been bald, the picture is fake.

I think Mark Strong and also Ralph Fiennes have played enough villians for a lifetime. Seriously, I wonder if they deliberately chose negative roles or do they just keep getting type-cast.

In fairness, it probably has. I mean, have you looked through all previous Lex casting threads? :p

.

Edit: Just checked, it was suggested by Venomfan in the second Lex casting thread.

Yes, but it's what we like to call 'tough love'. ;)

Story of my romantic life...look at the confessions thread lol ;)

Hadnt thought of Mckidd. Good one. A redhead too.

Brolin might be the type of name they're going for though. A heavyweight.

what i like about brolin is he is handsome, charismatic but even at an older age of 44 he still is very youthful looking but he also looks like a tough bad ass and hey he is ma kent's husband:oldrazz:
