Mark Strong is now under "strong" consideration according to an insider rumor, apparently by Zack Snyder himself so this could bode well. Personally over the past week I've thought of several people and I ended up settling on Mark a few days ago, then I caught the rumor earlier this morning (been up all night, go figure) about him being sought for the role and was like "HELL YEAH!!!"

Also, HELL NO to Billy Zane. I don't understand why there are still people who want him to play Lex. Geez, do you really want to go from Oscar nominees & winners to a D-list actor that can't act out of a paper bag? I'll admit he was a great slimeball in Titanic but come on....
