So after rewatching Fast Times at Ridgemont High, it makes me sad we don't have a Phoebe Cates type actress for this generation. :csad:

Odette Yustman? Similar look.

for some reason I can't get olivia as lois out of my head

it seems like it's real

I think at this point, if washed up biel gets it, over a genuinely talented up and coming actress like wilde, I'll be pretty pissed.

At this point, i would be surprised if anyone, other than Wilde or even McAdams, is casted for the role of Lois.

And this may be a bit shameless, but I'm hoping that Lois gets to have one passionate kiss with Superman/Clark in the film when both are conscious, since I've noticed that in Superman films, that there's hardly any passion allowed to be shown in the first films of a supposed franchise.

Now that you mention it, you're right. That's funny.

It actually wouldn't suprise me if they didn't got for Wilde or McAdams. I wasn't expecying Diane Lane for Martha or Costner for Jonathan (if that one turns out true) so it wouldn't shock me if they weren't cast but I hope one of them is.

In my opinion Lois isn't necessarily a beautiful woman, is clever, stubborn with a strong personality, it is this that charms Superman, he isn't a man that looks only the beauty of a woman, he goes deeper.

I actually think she should be beautiful, when Clark first sees her he should be instantly attracted to her.

I dont think you could make it serioues and with the new TV show I agree

Back on topic Olivia Wilde for Lois

It looks like she whithers away after her breasts. That waist is miniscule. I'm surprised she doesn't snap.

I think you are confused. You're not Superman :p

Could Alison Brie be my #1 choice? I don't know much about her, can she act like Lois Lane?

i think Brie could act as Lois Lane. she would need at least 3 months of hard training to get rid of her child like voice.

I normally thinking these "casting" threads are a bit redundant as they have no bearing on who will ultimately be cast and they often just lead to arguments, but I've found myself giving quite a bit of thought to who can be Lois Lane...

I honestly can't see Olivia Wilde as Lois and I DO really, really like Olivia... there's just something so hard and cold about her, it worked perfectly for her in Tron Legacy but for Lois it just doesn't fit (IMO of course!) I do think she'd make a good villain though!

Anyway, I'm gonna throw my one and only choice out there and before anyone rags on her age...

1. She's not gonna wear a badge with her age on it!
2. She LOOKS young for her age!
3. If Famke Janssen can play Jean Grey in her 40's to James Marsden's 28 year old Scott Summers then dammit we can have a Lois in her 30's!

Wilde for Wonder Woman or Ursa
McAdams for Lois :)

Wilde looks nothing like Wonder Woman. She's looks like a modern American city girl (which is why so many people like her for Lois), not a Greek/Mediterranean Amazon, which is the Wonder Woman type and from what we know (via the shortless of actresses from Variety), they're looking at blonde European actresses for Ursa.

Either way, this is the Lois Lane Thread.

Have you seen who they cast as Wonder Woman for the tv show? She looks less like WW than Wilde does, and the Greek/Mediterranean look is barely even used in the comics (if youve ever read them which it seems you havent) she usually just looks like a strikingly attractive anglo looking brunette.

And saying "either way, this is the lois lane thread" is really dumb because i pegged wilde as ww or ursa because shes brought up on every single page, and as you can CLEARLY see i posted my choice for lois, so i really dont know why youre saying "this is the lois lane thread". I know that.

My point still stands regardless of who's been cast in the TV show or what comics you've read. She looks nothing like Wonder Woman and far more like Lois Lane, but I digress...

I can actually picture her working REALLY well with Cavill!

I think she's the best we're gonna find amongst modern actressess. She's cute, but not drop-dead-gorgeous, she seems intelligent and can be tough and tenacious, but you could also imagine her being overwhelmed by Superman.

I say to Snyder: cast Michelle Monaghan... because I'm worried we're gonna get someone a lot worse.

To those who want Olivia Wilde, you're out of your minds. Lois is not an exotic, seductive supermodel. And Wilde doesn't even have the personality traits of Lois. Anyone who wants Wilde for Lois doesn't understand or care about the character, period.

She would be perfect. I'm not too familiar with her work but I just watched some clips of her. Everything about her screams Lois Lane. And I agree, I think the chemistry between her and Henry would be absolutely wonderful.
