And I like how slowly these 60's x-men are getting older. Slowly, I know, but on each sequel they are less teenagers.

in a world full of mutants, having a x-man as Havok on Vietnam war is faaaaaaaaaaar from unrealistic.

With a mentor like Charles Xavier that can control the mind of whoever he wants, well.... everything is possible.

But to connect Striker on this franchise with Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Deadpool, Gambit, young Cyclops, young Emma, SilverFox, and now Havok... sorry, I dont buy it.

I think you're under the impression that I was disagreeing with you when I wasn't. I think putting Havok on a special mutant military team led by Stryker is a bad idea, but just the sort of idiocy I've learned to expect from Fox.

Havok dies in Vietnam/mutant war,Banshee leaves the X-men, and Xavier becomes depressed and bearded because of these events. So by 1973 its just Xavier and Beast at the mansion.

I think his role will be very small. Maybe 3 to 4 scenes. But its good to know that we will see his powers again!

My guess would be that he was drafted.

But the weird thing is, the US signed a ceasefire in January, 1973, and the last of the combat troops were gone by the end of March of that year. There were still military advisors, technically but that's it. So, yeah, why IS Havok in Vietnam?

I really hope they don't have Stryker kill, lobotomize or control Havok via a 70s computer haha. Would be a waste of the character but I could see them killing him off, or right before he gets killed Havok gets a hold of Scott and tells him to go to the Mansion.

Would prefer that didn't go that route, would actually like to see or at least leave open the possibility of sibling rivalry in a later film.

I think part of the reason he is on this movie is because Singer didnt want to leave him out, so next sequel could develop him a bit more and finally show the two brothers sharing screentime.

of course, with young Cyclops finally used on the FC series. It would be awesome

I hope so. Havok's a really cool character in the X-Verse with a ton more potential. They have to at least get Polaris introduced before they stop using him.

Sounds like he gets a power upgrade though so thats awesome. He's gonna have the best power to go against sentinels besides Magneto.

oh, thats for sure lol.

Beast and Xavier wont have a chance against 5 sentinels or more, lol.

Thats why we need Havok on final battle. but dont want to have high hopes, since maybe we wont get a great x-men team at the end.

If I was Singer, I would have put a team on there consisting on Beast, Havok, Banshee, Polaris and Wolverine.

But with Banshee and Polaris out of this, and maybe Havok not showing up at the end, Im afraid it will be a poorer version of what this could have been.

Till wanted to play badboy, he can't be at Magneto side, so he isn't at Xavier side too. He's badass in army, and if we want keep continuity, there have to be Stryker using mutants there.

lord, continuity is about the whole series and respecting the characters, dialogue and more.

Not to use the same character over and over and over with all the mutants of this franchise

I was a joke. However, Stryker makes sense since he recruited Logan and Victor in Vietnam during the 70's, so it isn't too much of stretch. Also, Stryker is a Colonel, not a General.

stryker will have a role in DOFP so its possible it could be related to havoks role, but at the same time it may not be the case and stryker may have a different role

Actually I'm fine now if they didn't do this Polaris-Havok thing. I don't think Havok stayed with Charles Xavier after FC and even if we got another FC film after this, it should focus on Storm, Jean and Cyclops. I think if they are gonna use Polaris in the future, she doesn't have to be a love interest to Havok and they could get a well-known actress to portray her.
