Looks pretty uninspired.
there will be before this was shown. it was shown in an article from pcGN what the some of these squad mates in the video looked liked . there are more coming I'm sure .hope there are more squadmates than those shown ( and thus more LIs ).
They have also added a new briefing to the Initiative for those that are doing it.
The old leak, which was apparently accurate, claims there was 7 squad members. Then it was later reported one was cut. So far we have seen 5 squad members.hope there are more squadmates than those shown ( and thus more LIs ).

Who exactly is Cora Harper, and what was your dad up to before the mission to Andromeda?

While I was busy speculating about whether or not your dad dies in Mass Effect: Andromeda, the rest of the internet was chasing a story with slightly more meat on its bones: Who the hell is Cora Harper?
What can I say, I have dad issues. But on to the big story: Cora was introduced in yesterday's Andromeda Initiative briefing. What makes her so interesting is that her surname, Harper, is shared by a very important guy from the original trilogy: Jack Harper, aka The Illusive Man, the leader of Cerberus.
It seems awfully unlikely that this is a coincidence, given that Mass Effect is a work of fiction and not a true story about space explorers going to another galaxy, in which case I would understand if two unrelated people shared a common surname.
Keep in mind that while Andromeda takes place hundreds of years after Mass Effect 3, the mission to Andromeda leaves during Mass Effect 2. That means that not only do these settlers have no idea about the Reaper attack, Cora could easily be The Illusive Man's daughter, or otherwise directly related. And that might explain why she's teamed up with the player's father, Pathfinder Alec Ryder. He's big into AI research, which is something Cerberus enjoyed as well.
As Kotaku points out, we also know that Harper was hanging out with asari commandos for four years, which is a decidedly un-Cerberus thing to do. So maybe she's not related after all, or she just rejected here pops' xenophobia.
I'm starting to think we'll see more call backs to the original trilogy than I had expected.

BioWare has unofficially declared February 2 "Peebee Appreciation Day" with a detailed art/cosplay guide for the character, a new video interview with her voice actress, and a brief bio on its official site. If you were expecting Mass Effect: Andromeda's asari adventurer to be as graceful and stoic as her sisters from the original Mass Effect trilogy, you've got another thing coming. Specifically, you've got a bunch of really corny gags coming.
"She's completely goofy, and sometimes the joke totally lands, and sometimes it really doesn't," Peebee voice actress Christine Lakin explains in the video. I may relate to that statement a little too much. Every team needs a joker, and since the real Joker is back in the Milky Way (and probably several hundred years dead by the time of Andromeda), Peebee will fit the bill.
Even if you're not a cosplayer or artist yourself you should still give that character kit a look over. Here are some of the cool details I was able to pull out:
![]()
That's the face of an asari who just thought of a terrible pun.
![]()

Doesn't Peebee's belly get cold? Like, in space?
![]()
Her gun is called a Sidewinder, but it looks like a Hand Cannon to me.
Peebee's full name is Pelessaria BSayle according to her bio, so I can see why she goes by Peebee. She's originally from the icy asari world of Hyetiana. It's home to one of those "Search and Rescue" blips in Mass Effect 3 and prominent xenobiological facilities but is otherwise unremarkable. I'm not surprised Peebee got out of there in a hurry.
One common asari trait that Peebee doesn't defy is biotic power: her role in combat is that of a "gunslinger" and "biotic destabilizer". Hopefully she's useful in a fight because my squad always has at least one slot reserved for comic relief.

Mass Effect's Paragon vs Renegade morality system was one of the series' hallmarks - a way of defining your character that felt entertaining rather than uninspired. But it won't be a part of BioWare's next adventure amongst the stars. Speaking with Official Xbox Magazine, Mass Effect: Andromeda creative director Mac Walters explained why:
"So, Paragon and Renegade is gone. The reason theyre gone is because they felt very Shepard they were very tied to the Shepard character, so they didnt really make sense if we werent going to have Shepard as our protagonist," Walters said.
"What we have now is based more around agreeing and disagreeing. The reason I like that is because in the trilogy its like, 'Im gonna play Paragon,' and then you know which way youre moving the stick on every conversation. You dont have to think about it, because youre just going to hit Paragon every time."
I don't know about you all, but personally, I can definitely relate to that. When playing through Mass Effect 1 - 3, I usually held the thumbstick up and to the right, ready to select whatever the Paragon option was. I didn't really pay attention to what I was saying, just that it was the "right" thing to say.
Walters continued:
"With agree and disagree it changes by the circumstance and it changes by the character youre talking to, so you have to actually be more engaged in whats going on, to know if youre going to do that."

Walters also said that you and other characters will be able to respond in specific tones of voice. "Weve added in four tones and well talk a little more in the future, but they basically allow other types of characters to express them[selves] in one of four different ways, and sometimes one of two different ways. And I think that gets back to that more traditional role-playing sort of feeling which is less about 'Do I want to be good or bad,' and more about 'How do I want to express myself?'"
Andromeda's trailers and gameplay videos so far have focused a lot on combat and exploration. And that's fine! But for me, the draw of the ME series was always its characters and story. If these new dialogue systems help flesh those out, maybe we won't even miss choosing whether or not to push that jerk out of a window.

That may have some thing to do with Ghost Recon being closer to it's release date and most of the reviewers have their review copies and doing lets plays and previews show and doing their own news outlets podcast after doing that. And ME:A isn't near it's due date. Guess there wasn't heavy embargo for that game ether. As interested and hopefully as I am for this game, I have to admit that the lack of really in depth gameplay is somewhat troubling.
Besides Andromeda, the other game on my watchlist is Ghost Recon Wildlands, that game looks awesome, and there is tons of footage to see. Yet with Mass Effrct, we only have two actual gameplay videos. The game is just over a month away, time to start showing the bulk of it.
I thought Inquisition was a great game but it suffered some for being too bloated. I hope they pare it back for this game.
