Alot of people feel metal Gear should end here and I can't blame them . kojima was it's master mind and some how it won't be the same and alot of people will drop it now that it's left and also to spite konami cause of how they are as company. I'll move on from that since the latter part of what I said is likely to happen.
Ok so I have a very late Reveiw from EPN.TV and quick look from Giant Bomb and two video Review's from both Game trailers & Game infomer that I didn't put up. any one that has seen the latter ones I mentioned on your own already or moved on cause their already enjoying the please continue to do so. it's for those that have chosen to to pick it up latter even if it sounds a bit odd.

This Eli kid is awesome, isn't he? What a little ****. Really tough.

I just hope Konami can build on the gameplay with a better story next time around. I feel like all I'm doing is completing obiectives rather than progressing a plot.

hmmm the very same words said in the review from EPN.tv at the bottom of the post of mine above. some how I'm not sure if they do make metal gear them selves it'll have the same feel but We'll see if they bother that is .

Well now i gotta read it.

it's a video review at the top of on this page here. but it's the last one at the top of this page here we're talking on. but those words were used by one of the two reviewer before they each game their score.

I wonder how a Platinum Made Metal Gear 1 & 2 remake would be received... I drool at the thought of seeing a reworked Snake vs Gray Fox fist fight in a mine field done in Platinum style.

Episode 29 is fun. I love to battle these adorable sexy borgs.

Yes!!! I'm not complaining. I love the fact that we get some challenging boss battles. Or should I say Boss battles. In any event I haven't this much fun from a game in a very long time.

So we can all agree that this could be GOTY this year.

There's no doubt that Metal Gear without Kojima would be different. Kojima is just an auteur who has such a unique style and way he does things, no way it wouldn't be different.

Same thing. No, I don't have it either.

Hm, have you been capturing regular animals, too? Not just the legendary ones? I don't know what else it could be, because I got mine really early in the game.

Yeah, I don't know, I love Platinum, but I don't know how I'd feel about them taking over the main franchise. More Rising style spin-offs, though, would be awesome.

I was blown away by the gameplay but let down with the story of The Phantom Pain, compared to the other main story games.

I am fine with 4 being the end, but...

I would really appreciate a ps4/Xbox one legacy type edition... With MG, MG2, MGS,MGS The Twin Snakes HD, MGS 2 HD, MGS 3 HD, MGS 4

Anyone still have trouble connecting? I still get the "Failed to log in to server" message.

I'm really on the fence this time. And I didn't expect that. Witcher 3 or Metal Gear Solid V. Seriously. My favorite parts about games - strong narrative and amazingly crafted setting with large set of interesting characters. And Witcher 3 excels at that. But at the same time, Metal Gear Solid V is a technical and visual marvel. Gameplay masterpiece with amazing set of tools to play with, many systems that make the game very rich experience-wise, great replay value. Fantastic art-direction, some of the best I've ever seen in games. The story concept is captivating, but handled relatively poorly. So what's worse - repetitive gameplay or flawed narrative? Can't answer it for now.

Forgive me my stupidity. It was there the whole time and I couldn't see ****.

So...is it truly true that...

POSSIBLE END GAME SPOILERS MAYBE. Haven't found a clear answer.

That you never once play as the actual Big Boss, and just a solider turned into him?

You are correct. Which pretty much undermines character and the clones' status.

[BLACKOUT]Well you also learn that XOF was always helping Big Boss during Snake Eater, so now you learn Big Boss' legacy and legend was always more imagenery than real.[/BLACKOUT]

The biggest problem the ending has that it doesn't actually provide any answers between PP and MG, it just creates more questions and yeah, the ending is a bummber lol.

Just finished Chapter 1, and honestly, this could easily have been the end of the game. I've played a bit of Chapter 2 and it seems fine so far, but it's kind of strange, it feels like Chapter 1 was almost meant to be the end and all, at least to me.

Anyway, so far, my impressions are positive. I really don't think the story is all that thin despite what a lot of people are saying. I feel like a lot of that is from those who either aren't listening to the tapes, or just don't like a good chunk of the story put on optional tapes. I can understand that somewhat, it's a big change from the series (PW started it, but I get the impression that a lot of fans skipped that one). I also think Sutherland did well, too.

My biggest disappointments for the game at this part are the lack of boss battles. The ones we have are good overall, but nothing amazing (the Quiet fight is the best, but really it's not much above the standard MGS snipe battle at this point). I guess gaming, for the most part, have just outright given up on boss battles. And the how wasted [blackout]Skull Face[/blackout] was sucked, too, such a cool character.

Nothing much to say about the gameplay that hasn't already, it's fantastic pretty much all around.

On to Chapter 2!
