Some things just gotta change when you make a movie. Sometimes it works (organic web shooters), sometimes it fails (mute Hulk). But with Thor I think we'll make out better than what the movies have done to Batman. He has been neutered so badly that he wouldn't even fit in a JLA movie now unless they changed him dramatically.

Well that is the whole thing about Marvel, they don't seem to see their characters stories only individually but as a unit as well, and ultimately when they come together in the Avengers I think they will fair a lot better for it.

They know that. They mentioned at CCI that they looked at Mike Tyson's boxing style a lot and went for a power-based style in general.

It is all about the power with Thor, and like with the Hulk and Abomination in The Incredible Hulk Movie I would like to have a scene where Thor and the Destoryer are knocking each other through walls. I know there is not many buildings around, but maybe they can use a train yard or something. :yay:

Having one or the other pick a train car up and throw it would be cool, too. I'd love to see them tossing giant, heavy crap around like it's made of cardboard.

That's the one thing the Hulk/Abomination fight didn't have, is one of them throwing a car at the other. Or one of them swatting the other with a streetlight. So that's two things.

Definitely hope to see some major feats of strength from Thor.

My sentiments exactly:yay:

You what? We got the Hulk breaking down a car and wearing it as a boxing glove.

Well the Hulk did pick up a car, Rip it in half and turn it into his version of Brass Knuckles, and during the initial fight scene where they are charging one another I thought they were knocking cars out of the way left and right just like they were made of card board. So, not sure if any of that counts, but thought I would mention it.:yay:

I'm well aware, and it was the highlight of the fight for me. Had one of them picked a car up and hurled it at the other one, that would also have been awesome.

Thor #600 should be the blueprint for any awesome god-on-god fight, I say. Thor vs. Bor is one of the most bone-shatteringly, jaw-droppingly awesome (and gorgeous) fight sequences in comics, as far as I'm concerned, and it lasts for like 20 pages without feeling the list bit dull or stretched too thin.

i think you guys misunderstood the jackie chan thing. someone asked if thor ever used mjolnir like a nuchuck. so i said like this, and i posted the drunken master clip. i didnt say i want thor to do that. i was just showing a reference to what someone asked.

The mailman JUST delivered my Thor vol. 2 hardback with that issue in it like 20 minutes ago. I want to read it now but I'm trying to save it.

It's pretty great. That issue paid off on all the build-up really well.

Urm...

You speak the truth. You can really feel their power during that fight.
It's so good I've read at least 10 times.

No prob. :D

Can't wait for HD trailer or something. :D
Supposed to be the SDCC footage for both Thor and Cap hidden on the Iron Man 2 Blu Ray, no word if it'll be on DVD too. It'd better be!:cmad:

Wow that high res pic is awesome. Still wish the hammer looked a bit more ancient and battle worn - but I have that minor gripe about all the costumes and set pieces we've seen. I trust KB to make this great though. Here is my version of the hammer...

Wow, that looks fantastic. I like how you did the thong as an extension of the wrap around the handle and everything.

It looks like it weighs a ton but actually only weighs about 2.5lbs.

To "forge" it, I first built the head out of cardboard (using the power of geometry). Then I cut a piece of wood dowel for the handle, making sure that when inserted it would run through the whole head for stability.

Then I used super sculpty to cover the head and sculpt all the aged metal detail. To give the whole thing weight and strength, I filled the head with expandable foam that air hardens to a wood-like density. I wrapped the handle in leather and used the tip of a hot iron to burn random groove marks into it to make the wrapped handle look worn.

Last, I painted the head black; dry brushed it with flat aluminum paint, added some black wash and sealed it with a few coats of dull coat spray. The end result is Uru that looks like it has been through countless battles with rock trolls, frost giants and the occasional elemental demon.

I seriously can't put this thing down. It looks bigger and meaner than what is on the market but is light enough to swing around (even by the thong).
