Jason Aaron's run is the closest to Ennis'. In terms of quality and the way it has seemed like a natural progression of the character from what Ennis built.
I always buy the TPBs so I haven't read "Bullseye" yet, but the most recent I have is Kingpin and I thought it was pretty close in quality to Ennis' stuff, too. I thought Aaron could've put more of Frank in the story, since it was basically entirely about Kingpin, but that was my only major critique (other than the art, but that's another story).
I don't mean every single comic individually, I mean can you buy them in a graphic novel style of 6 comics in one book kinda thing.
It went OOP right about a month before I was able to buy it. Thankfully, I was able to score a new, sealed copy off eBay for $90 when it was going for over $120 at Amazon used. It's kind of unfortunate how the price for the Omnibus is right now. Hopefully Marvel will reprint it. I got mine when it originally came out on Amazon for 62 bucks.
Ah I wasn't aware of the delays. Man, that really sucks.
Dude the Bullseye HC trade is out, it's in the shops already I have seen it, it's a great read, as good as the Kingpin one....
I don't buy the HCs, I buy the TPBs.
More news about The Punisher by Greg Rucka. I dont't know if you guys already seen this but i will share either way.

In my eyes, MAX is the definitive world for Frank. 616 stuff is just a cool bonus on the side.
