I love Judy Reyes, and she'd probably be great. I can't really picture her as anything but Carla Espinosa, though. But, the rest of the world isn't as obsessed with Scrubs as I am, so it probably wouldn't be a problem.

She's very good so far in day six of 24. She plays a Muslim, but I think she could pull of a Latina, I'd buy it at least. She's cute, but not too cute. She's tough and has an innocence and spunk.

Jennifer Esposito as a detective in Crash (I remember her playing a "tough" cop in some romantic comedy as well)

She's a respected actress, she's smokin' hot, she can play tough cop easily, and she's the right age (33).

I only really know from her Crash and Spin City but i think this is a nice choice. My gut feeling says they will go with someone thats not too well known and i think she fits that bill.Oh and btw she also played a cop in Tim Story's Taxi.

She looks like Norah Jones in that pic.

Nah, Lauren Velez (Doctor Nathan) is hot too but Reyes was the wife of that C.O that Alverez blinded by gouging his eyes out. Remember Alverez trained a seeing eye dog for the C.O to use..? Reyes was the C.O's reluctant wife....

Anyhow, Lauren Velez has already played a cop (NY Undercover), so i could see her as Montoya also.
