I am thinking Eva mendes or Zoe Saldana. She doesn't need to be older as batman Begins and TDK are set in a time when Batman is just getting going. So Montoya is probably just a beat cop at this point. Pay attention to the timelines people.

Lots of Cops starts out as rookies around there late 20s, so 30s seemed fine with me. Besides with dont know anything about this Female Laitino Cop! For all we know she could be Talia

She's very good so far in day six of 24. She plays a Muslim, but I think she could pull of a Latina, I'd buy it at least. She's cute, but not too cute. She's tough and has an innocence and spunk.

She's really petite, but I think she's really great in 24. I'm part middle-eastern, and when she speaks in arabic, I totally buy it.

Ok I think that Rene Montoya should be a Detective in this one and not a beat cop. Me personally like Elizabeth Pena as an actress but not in this role. And I think that we can forget about Eva Mendes, Rosario Dawson and even Roselyn Sanchez (she's way to skinny to be Montoya but she's still hot). In the Darknight I think Rene will be in about only 4 to 5 scenes anyway. Put it like this however many scenes Loeb and Flass was in, in Begins is how many scenes I think Rene will be in, in TDK. Will that said I think they should go with a unknown or a small name actress. The most famous actress in this role would most likely be Michelle Rodriguez and even that's a little far off but my one and only chioce is:

- Daphne Rubin-Vega she's not that well known in films. She's a stage actor from Broadway (she was Mimi in the Original Cast of RENT). She was Det. Gloria Perez in Wild Things, and she looks just like Rene Montoya
