The Official Saw 3 thread! Pictures, News and Information Thread!

I saw it last night.

I HATED IT.

I wanted to walk out, but I try and make a point of not doing that.

Matt is right, they try so hard to outdo the first two, but it comes off as uneffective and far too over the top, and it was violent and disgusting just for the sake of that.

That being said though, I like how they handled John and Amanda's story...but that was about it.

One thing people bring up a lot is that
The stupid "I want a divorce" line is totally a cheat. No one who's cheating with someone would actually say that they want a divorce from that person? They're not married to each other... and even if he meant he wanted HER to get divorced, that's not how you would ever word something like that. It's just a cheat to mislead the audience. Cheating in your storytelling for the sake of a twist is bad.

What I figured was that
he was also married, and wanted a divorce from his own wife.

o man. i know i said i loved it but i saw it again today with some more of my friends. and its not a very good movie like its ok and has some good bits but over all i think the ending just fell flat in this one.

I haven't see the movie yet. maybe i'll wait for the dvd (like i did with Saw 2). I just have one question: Do we get to see Dina "Dizzy"Meyers naked?:woot:

i dono who that is but the only girl u see naked is the one hanging in the freezer.

Dina Meyer was the cop in Saw 1 and 2.

Whats with pics im seeing of Jigsaw wearing a hood like hes a sith lord:huh:

Possibly a prequel that will show the beginnings of Jigsaw and show him putting together his first traps, losing his girlfriend, losing his job, and encountering Dr. Gordon for the first time to find out about his cancer.

or

Jeff, being the last pawn, is sent to try and find his daughter with clues that Jigsaw left behind in the shop.

It could turn out to be good. But those are the only scenarios that could actually work.

A Saw film without Tobin is not going to work at all. Although Tobin did say he was signed for five Saw films.

This movie tried waaaay too hard to surpass the first two. The story was bad and the characters weren't very likable, plus the movie ended without any closure at all.
Since when did SAW movies end with closure?

SAW: Ends with John saying, "Game over" as he closes the bathroom's sliding door on Adam.

Saw II: Ends with Amanda saying, "Game over" as she closes the door on Eric Mathews, and with John still alive in the car.

Saw III:
Ends with John saying "Game over" to Amanda, and Jeff being given a last test...and we'll no doubt find out how that pans out next Halloween.

Every SAW movie ends openly. Will Adam survive? Did Dr. Gordon get out? Did Eric Mathews get out? How would he?
Will Jeff find his daughter?

They are and will all be discovered in future installments. It's called a cliffhanger and its what makes you comeback for SAW IV, V, VI, etc.

Well, we know there will be a Saw 4. The opening last night already made its budget back and it just greenlit a fourth film.

I'm very curious as to what they'll do. I think that's what I love about these particular films. Just when you think they've topped each other, something new is revealed and starts another great concept.

My main bet is:

The fourth one mainly focuses on Jeff trying to find his daughter and encountering new traps and new clues.

If the fourth one does well, then I'm guessing it will be a prequel. I'm just disappointed that they never really addressed what happened to Dr. Gordon.

However, due to
Amanda killing Adam and Matthews it's safe to say she probably killed Dr. Gordon too.

Tobin's voice can still be used. You know Jigsaw has made use of those trusty tape recorders. ;-) That's the beauty of these films. We don't know what they're going to come up with next.

i think its a crazy idea
he somehow creates a whole movie worth of a huge trap for the jeff guy on his death bed without amandas help........right.

is his wife still alive?

No. Jeff's wife is dead. If you're talking about Jigsaw's girlfriend yes she's alive, but I doubt they're going to bring her into the storylines. I just hope it's not revealed that it was a Jigsaw clone and that Jigsaw is still alive. ;-)

Now that I think about it. Matthew's fate isn't revealed in Saw 3. They never show Amanda actually killing him. So it's possible Donnie could return for the fourth one to help Jeff possibly or maybe Dr. Gordon can return too.
