How often do they release concept art that doesn't look like the final film look? Also, this is clearly before they are "superheroes". They could have gear by the end.

Guardians of the Galaxy's first concept art. Everything changed since that piece of art. Though I'm sure it won't be that different from this work. Maybe variations on her look since it's probably her civilian look.

Yeah but that was released before they had even hired a director. They're putting this out on the eve of filming

I don't know what people were expecting. The actors were basically describing them as teenage runaways, and that's how they generally look. I like Scarlet Witch's look, don't really have an opinion on Quicksilver's

I'm with you on both.

I love them both. Utter perfection IMO.

They are both definitely more palatable than Fox's version(s).

I don't understand how someone could be disappointed with the design. It was clear they weren't going to go with the suit from the comics, mostly because its impractical and kinda ugly.

I personally wasn't expecting them to go with her costume from the comics and didn't even want them to touch that mess. I'm just turned off with how much she just looks like a Jean Grey clone, it's pretty blatant to me.

Of course, this is just concept art and most definitely isn't her final look.

Then again anything was bound to impress me when contrasted with Singer's version.

The pervert in me still wants to see someone like Sofia Vergara or Christina Hendricks in the comic book costume.

Wha? In what way is she similar to Jean Grey? Can't recall Jean wearing something like that. Do you just mean the flaring eyes and hair?

I just think the styling in the picture looks like a young Jean Grey to me - that's all. Once again, she could and probably will look different on screen.

If were talking clothing she looks nothing like Jean other than the color of her jacket and thats the color SW uses anyway.

I hope her eyes look like that when she uses her powers in the movie. I'm not that familiar with Scarlett Witch's powers or how they look so I'm pretty excited to see what she does in the film.

I hope she get's a real costume by the end of the film...

I dig.

I'm okay with SW's design; looks "gypsy witch" enough to fit the bill, without sticking out in a crowd like a cosplayer. I'm still very curious how they'll portray the origins of her powerset, though; I'm thinking (and hoping) that they'll go full-on witchcraft, "Charmed" style, but we'll see.

As for QS, the costume itself is a fair enough representation of the blue suit without going all four-color spandex. The hair is, of course, off-putting for those of us hoping for the iconic platinum look; but here's my thinking on Joss' point here:

The Maximoffs are supposed to be twins, so Joss probably figured casting two people who look enough alike to be twin brother and sister (and Aaron and Elizabeth fit the bill pretty well) would work, while giving them the same hair color would be more logical than giving them different colors.

Still, the silver hair could come into play by the end of the movie....it could be explained as a by-product of the speed factor (i.e., causing Pietro's body, or at least some parts of it like his hair, to age more rapidly --- although that obviously creates a MAJORLY lethal side effect and shortens Quicksilver's likely lifespan in the MCU), or simply just have Pietro dye it by the end to give himself a look distinct from his sister.

I don't see how she looks like Jean Grey at all. In fact, she kind of has a bit of a gypsy look.

I'm definitely not seeing any sort of gypsy/Romani influence. If anything, the first thing that came to my head was a more modern/fashion-forward punk-rock look.

Either way, it doesn't matter since it's just concept art.

Sash tied around her waist. Long lacy frock. Long leather gloves, with pearls twisted around one wrist.

Looks pretty gypsy/new romantic to me. And yes, I know some *real* Romani who dress similarly, from the heart of the Carolinas, no less.

Some of them over there aren't too happy with these suits.
