so, we're assuming Scarlet and Quicksilver will be heroes, right?
They start out as villains and join the Avengers later.

also, how important to the story do you think they will be?
Very important.

also, I'm not too familiar with the character.

are Scarlet's powers mutant based or magic based?
The history of her powers is all over the place. They're mutant based (in the comics, not in the movie) but part of her abilities comes from a curse put on her by Chthon (The Other) when she was born.

In the movies her powers are the result of HYDRA experimentation (probably with Loki's staff).

It's weird. Quicksilver already has sort of super-hero clothing. Except for those funny shoes.

I'm not saying Wanda looks lame or ugly, she's gorgeous. And her outfit has that witch or gothic lolita vibe. I just expected a uniform. Not casual clothes.
If you go to runnerswarehouse.com you'll find similar articles of clothing. The shoes are just a pair of addidas running shoes. Remember they are a pair of escapee/runaway gypsy kids that will be taken in by the Avengers. The movie will take place over a period of a day or two just like the first Avengers.

The shoes ATJ is wearing is probably for practical use and not a part of Quicksilver's actual costume. I also think that shirt is a stand-in for better movement and they will ass details to it in post. What Wanda is wearing is probably her costume for the movie. It's modern day-gypsi outfit and looks very witch-like.

Personally, I'd be fine if that's her costume. I think having a little difference in the team is good, you don't want everyone looking the same or creating this idea that every member of the team has to have some kind of spandex costume to be superheroes. Wanda and Pietro are different (even though technically Pietro will have a more traditional superhero outfit).

Agreed, especially since I doubt Wanda and Pietro will be members of the "team" for most of the movie. I'm guessing 2 mutant kids get involved in some Ultron business and have to fight alongside an established team of superheroes.

welll...I guess you haven't been keeping up with Cap 2 news? lol.

thanks.

wait....how do you know all that stuff about the movie??!!

That they start out as villains before joining the Avengers has been known sonce they were announced as Whedon has said so in interviews. The part about the experimentation causing their powers is not fact and is just Dent passing off speculation as fact. Although it may be true, we'll have to see.

I haven't really been interested in or following this until yesterday......lol.

I've seen Cap 2. Whedon also hinted at them starting off as villains/against the Avengers last year.

No it's not. I've seen Cap 2, as I've been stating for the past week. People simply don't want to accept what they wanted to happen isn't. It's a fact. But believe whatever you want until you see the movie yourself, no skin off my bones. :whatever:

I purposefully haven't, since a ton of people have seen it. You referring to a post-credit scene?
Primarily, yeah.

Although for the record, I WILL take credit for speculating their powers would be the result of experimentation on the brain slot introduced in IM3 a year ago, and it just happens I turned out to be right.

oh, thanks.

so Cap 2 directly sets up the events for Avengers 2? are SW and QS referenced?

hmmm.....interesting.

Olsen looks a little like Maggie Gyllenhaal with this hair colour.

and if SW does get a more "official" costume by the end, I hope it doesn't deviate too much from her current "street look."

cuz I quite like the practical street look.

I would have to disagree with Mr Dent, about Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver gaining there powers through experimentation.

In the Post Credit scene,
Von Strucker says something along the lines, this is no longer the age of spy's or superheroes, this is the age of Miracles.

To me it sounds like they are something extraordinary, an anomaly... To me the post credit just hints at many different possibilities
