It's more likely to be Loki's scepter itself that's the stone, and not a person. It makes more sense that way, to say it altered whatever to give her and her brother their powers, because then you'd have to try and explain why she's a "stone" and he's not when they got their powers the same way.

My theory isn't that she is a stone.

My theory is that she is a living portal to the powers of a stone.

There are good arguments against the sceptre being a stone. Avengers 1 didn't make it look as if the sceptre and the Tesseract are on the same level of power.

The sceptre was a weapon that was created to canalize the power of the Tesseract. So it depends on the Tesseract and certainly isn't its equal.

Elizabeth Olsen talks about the role and secrecy on the set:

My God she's hot. Sorry, was that sexist because I meant it as a compliment?

"Grounded badass". I love that! That's wanda summed up in two words! That's just perfect!

She looks quite Scarlet-like in this next one:

I really hope to see her all in red eventually.

That second pic IS Wanda. Game, set, match.

Olsen looks more of a woman than her sisters, who still seem to look a bit like when they were tweens or teens.

That pic of her gnawing on the bread is hilarious.

She is cute - I hope you guys have seen her in OLDBOY - all of her...

But back to The Avengers ~

I was wondering, since the term "Mutant" can not be used, if Marvel will make SW and QS Inhumans and use them as an intro to that property. After all, Kirby's original take on the Inhumans was little more than a revamping of his X-Men concept and it does not seems to alter the characters in any real way to make them Inhuman rather than Mutant.

Thoughts?

For anyone concerned about that path, you can take a deep breath. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently spoke with Huffington Post and tackled the issue very specifically. In response to a question about whether the Inhumans would be used to get around the "m" word, Feige replied, "As it relates to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver? No. No, no, no."

Does not seem to make much difference to me, but Kevin's been doing a good job thus far, so I'll trust him...

Maybe they will just use the real [original] origin of QS & SW and not the reworked Magneto one - never really got why they felt they had to tie them together after a decade or more of them NOT being related...

Because Magneto is the Darth Vader of Marvel Comics watching First Class Eric and Charles reminded me of Anakin and Obi-Wan

because it was a good story. look how many stories have been generated out of linking the two. the twins choice to be heroes is so much more personal now. plus they didn't lose their ties to the x-verse; something essential to the House of M story.

I like them being related. It adds a family drama and explains so much of why Pietro is, deep down, a good guy

Scarlet Witch is the only reason I might see this. Iron Man 2 turned me off Iron Man.. not a fan of any of the rest.
