Yeah, I like Hammer, but I still can't quite see him as Superman. Though I'd throw my full support behind him if he is announced as the new Supes. Of course, if he pulls a Routh or a Welling with his acting, then it won't matter how good he might look in the role. But I doubt that would happen unless the script is sh**.

I agree, Im sure his agent has done what is needed to be seen. He's got a much better look than Hammer does IMO.

I do like Hammer's look, but I fully agree that Josh Pence has an even better one.

If he got Ken Branagh's attention I think there would be no harm in letting Josh screen test.

If he shows talent there, then so be it.

Eh Im not a fan of Hammers look. He looks like a baby faced frat boy, he is talented though. Snyder did wonders with Butler in 300, he brought Dr Manhattan to life with Billy Crudup of all people and Emily Browning is almost unrecognizable in Sucker Punch so I have faith in whoever he chooses.

Yeah, good point. Snyder's makeup and costume team do a good job of making actors look their parts. I had no idea that Xerxes was Rodrigo Santoro until the credits rolled.

Routh has zero presence and charisma and was cast solely on looks. And no way in hell is he ever coming back.

Funny how some people see things so differently. I can't even seen an iota of charisma that a few people have mentioned in the same breath as Routh's name. He is not going to be cast, so it is all wishful thinking for those that want him back.

Yeah, I usually try not to jump on people for liking Routh, but I've seen that particular poster pop on here and trash people for supporting Cavill and other, better actors, so I felt a need to voice my opinion.

Routh seems like a good guy in real life and he certainly looks the part, but his acting was some of the stiffest I've ever seen in a major motion picture and major contributor as to why WB decided to start fresh. They won't publicly come out and say that publicly, but it's the truth.

Gotta be honest,I absolutely love the idea of Boreanaz getting the part. A bit old, yes, but he's a good actor, has a good look and can pack on some serious muscle. When it's between choices like Hammer and Porter, then someone like Boreanaz is nothing short of perfection. Would be so damned pleased if he got it. I also read somewhere in a interview that he would love to play Superman.

You don't know that. These casting rumors are just that - rumors. Therefore, until the day comes that "[insert actor name] confirmed for Snyder's Superman" is posted on the Hype's front page, I refuse to believe that Brandon Routh's run as Superman is over.

Believe what you want to believe. Some people may know that for a fact but aren't going to reveal confidential sources just to try to get you to believe it.

The rumors of Boreanaz are just that...rumors. The last official word we have from Snyder is that they are going with a "younger" Superman and I am not believing for a minute they are going to go older now based on rumors that an actor is interested in the part.

Truth be told charisma was something that came up on several of the reviews I read for the movie & it usually came up as something Brandon Routh lacked.

Infact if you want some proof why don't you type the following into a google search bar: Brandon Routh charisma

I mean for every 1 page that says Brandon Routh has charisma there are 10 that says he has the charisma of a 'mannequin'.
