He is right though, most critics (not all though) thought that Routh did a good job with what he had as Superman. Most of the criticisms in Superman Returns pretty much lie with everything else.

Back in his Buffy days I always thought David Boreanaz had the eyes/look of Batman. Simply because he has very intimidating eyes.. & considering eyes & mouth are the only things visible from a Batman mask, I thought it was a good attribute to have.

But for Superman? No, at least I don't think I'd like him near the part. Seasoned actor, but he just doesn't have an approachable look I'd like Superman to have.. even now long after his Angel/Buffy days.

Again that's a comment that came up regularly in reviews I've read for the film as well, that he did well with what what he was given.. I actually agree with this. I wasn't a fan of the performance at all however I can appreciate that had the script & the film been better, he might have been better.. so it's arguably a case of the critic/blogger giving him the benifit of the doubt.

Certainly wasn't unanimous praise or anything close to unanimous, especally regarding his charisma/presence in the role I know that.

imo you can rule out routh 100% zack said himself they want no connection with any previous incarnations of superman movies

routh was superman already

Lol, don't worry man. I'm in Ireland and I read The Sun most days cuz its entertaining and has a nice dose of general information and interesting articles, but that particular one is an example of sheer and utter crap.

Although in real life his hair is dark brown (it's just Blonde for a modelling gig, but it can always get dyed dark brown/black)

That was an old rumor from last year...I wouldnt worry a bit about it UNLESS the reboot only has a 20 or 30 mill dollar budget.
