The SR suit had issues yes, but it didn't suck, unlike your posts.
a lot of manips utilizing the SR suit that have been modified are very good, but saying the Singer suit had issues is a huge under statement. Let's see how many 'issues' can be listed.
T-shirt neckline making Routh's neck look skinny.
Two-tone shower curtain Dracula cape attached like a napkin in an Italian restaurant.
a Superboy sized \S/ raised so much you couldn't possibly hide it under a dress shirt.
An S on the belt in case you didn't notice the one on his chest, which was probably tiny due to how impractical a large raised hard plastic \S/ would be when he tried to punch someone and it wouldn't bend. (a good reason not to go with a dimensional \S/ beyond shading)
The infamous low rise hipster manties that made his torso look long and his legs short.
Shorty overly styled Assymetric 'M' boots that again made his leg/torso look unbalanced.
No \S/ on the cape. Wasn't Singer worried that a big \S/ on the front and cape was tacky like a human billboard?? I know let's festoon the costume with lots of little \S/'s in places you won't notice them. like \S/'sssssssssss all over the boots..Heels..Soles.Shield. Yeah, subtle and tasteful.
The shade of red...er Burgundy they went with.
and unnecessary lines on the blue parts of the suit that looked like Aqua-wet suit Marianas trench diving Superman. (oooh wait a potential new toy!)
Apart from the \S/ on the cape all of the classic elements were there but rendered 'edgy and hip' like they wanted to impress the Project Runway judges.
However, beyond the things listed the suit was awesome though.

BTW before you attack me I'm just yanking your chain, but it is amazing imo how they managed to make such a hash of the 'Classic' suit.
Snyder/Nolan will surely do better.
