I wouldn't get to up and down on this just yet. Just says he is a front runner. Remember when Logan Lerman was a front runner for the new Spider-Man.

Let's say Joe is actually the front runner, he's still a young dude who is in his early 30s. By no means does he look like a fresh-out-of-college guy trying to discover the world, you know? He has more of an established look.
I'd say that Hammer was also a frontrunner, but that's just my assessment of the situation.I'd be alright with Joe. kinda figured he was in the mix, but i'm surprised that he's ahead of Hammer ( if true)
yeah, I think so..I would love to hear some other names thats in the mix..porter maybe?JAK®;19544000 said:I'd say that Hammer was also a frontrunner, but that's just my assessment of the situation.
That is something to consider. He must really be wowing the powers that be if he is the frontrunner..

I'd be more than happy with Joe M. as Superman. I think one of our sites was the first to really get behind the possibility of him portraying the character.

As do I.JAK®;19544126 said:That is something to consider.
But while Hollywood has mostly been good with casting these roles, the last two major castings, Chris Evans as Captain America and Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern, scream lazy desperate casting looking for someone who they knew could bring in an audience and be OK in the role.
Of course, Evans ended up now appearing to be perfect for the role and I'm confident Reynolds will deliver, although it's obvious they want him to play the typical Reynolds type in order to recreate RDJ's success as Tony Stark.
I just hope that Superman is getting better treatment.
No doubt. He looks by far, to me, in being the closest to what I think superman should be built like, and judging from what i've seen in some images of his he can hide those muscles in normal clothes fairly easily. the nose is not a deal breaker and can be easily fixed if needed. One thing in Joe's favour in regards to wowing them in an audition is that physically he's already camera ready for the part.
