But I would love to see a good Superman movie with a Man who not only looks like Sups. in face, but in body and make you believe he is someone completly different as Clark.

That's exactly what we need.

Anything less would be inferior to Reeve.

I want Nolan's take to be better than Reeve so we can have a NEW icon for Superman.

Hamm is still my favorite out of all the suggestions so far, but I doubt it will be him.
I wish some more names would leak out already. we need some new blood to talk about

My favorite for the role is Jared Padalecki. He looks the part.he's 6'4,so he wouldn't need to wear lifts for the role, like some other fan favorites(Cavill,Bomer). He's gotten much better since the first season of Supernatural. It probably wont happen anyway but i hope it does.

May not be new blood, but True Blood.......HA I MADE A FUNNY!

not really, lol

Surely to goodness, they should be at least starting to get a list of people together that they want to test by now? I would think that they would be beyond that stage and hopefully at the screentesting stage? I don't know how Hollywood works. I mean for all we know, J. Nolan could be the director and we wouldn't know it.

Personally, hes too old.. and he looks his age.

So for me, unless they are looking for a firmly established 40 year old Superman ie 10-15 years after hes originally first appeared (if they are following the standard sort of cannon age he makes his first appearance..) then I wouldn't be a fan of him taking the role.

I hope they don't go down that road or even glance at it, I hope they drive past it. Fair enough if the articles are correct & they aren't planning an origin story and simply "a Superman movie" whats wrong with having a Superman that is late 20's early 30's?

The best thing about Hamm is that he's a man's man. Nothing girly about him.

I'm tired of little boy Supes on my TV/Movie screens.

Hamm it up, I say.

Hamm's got a face I want to punch.

No way, I thought I was the only one :awesome:. I can't understand it, there is just something about Hamm's face that just annoys me, it's inexplicable. I've seen a few episodes of Mad Men, and no doubt, he's a good actor, and I am glad that he's apparently being considered, because that gives me a good feeling about the type of actors WB is looking at. But man, his face just annoys me :woot:. I wouldn't be opposed to casting him though. I wonder who the other actors WB is reportedly considering.

No other sites have picked it up yet. TMT has it to themselves for the moment.

Hamm is a pretty good actor, but that face is smirky, likes hes smiling after cheating with your GF.

IMO. He is too old for Supes.

And THAT FACE!!!! :hehe:

I'm sure its been said now seeing as Inception is out and I believe I might have seen it mentioned before that, but Tom Hardy would make for an incredible Superman.

The man has incredible screen presence and delivered a more than fantastic performance to the role. A part that could have easily been forgettable and he defintely made the most of it and more.

I won't even get into his physical appearance matching with Supes as it was fairly obvious to anyone who know his previous roles and the shape he was in for Inception.

There couldn't be a more perfect chance than right now for WB/Nolan and everyone else involved in the new Superman project to make a serious consideration of giving Hardy the role.

Someone mentioned hardy for Lex not long ago, I was sold.

yup..we suspected, but this is the first real article on him.

I like his look. Mature.

I wouldn't get "mad" if he was cast, but it is not the vision I have for a modern Supes.

Tom Hardy as Supes? No way. He's an incredible actor, but facially he looks nothing like any version of Superman. And he's a bit on the short side at 5"10.

Would make a fantastic Lex though.
