Umm Liam is returning, Pence is just playing him in a flashback scene. Which I actually find kind of interesting, considering back in Batman Begins for example, we had scenes taking place 20 or so years ago and Alfred, Loeb and Gordon were portrayed by exactly the same actors. In Michael Caine's case, they didn't even try to make him any youngerLiam ain't returning. Josh Pence is playing Ra's Al Ghul.

Well a lot of people are presuming that Liam's return is some massive spoiler, but unless he's actually alive or is in something more than a short cameo in a flashback, I see no reason to keep it concealed as such. But I guess they still will, considering back in TDK, we all knew Cillian was back as Scarecrow but I don't think we ever got confirmation until the movie opened.WB wouldn't announce his return because it would be considered as a spoiler. They're going to keep quiet about Neeson's involvement until showtime.

Crap, I forgot about Mr. Earle. So that's Loeb, Mr. Earle, Gordon and Alfred. Seems in Nolan's universe those characters qualify as immortal, whereas Ra's doesn't.In never understood why the didn't. Caine with darker hair and a thin mustache like Alfred in the comics would have been awesome.
And it was kinda strange that Alfred, Mr Earle and Gordon didn't look any older 20 years after the funeral. I guess they found the fountain of youth.
Or was it an early advice to the Lazarus pit?

Hey Knight Rise, here's one I did with Liam Aiken as Robin a really long time ago, along with Emma Watson and Batgirl. I hope this is kinda what you were looking for?
