Liam ain't returning. Josh Pence is playing Ra's Al Ghul.

I know Josh is confirmed but there has been Neeson sightings, apparently.

Nothing 100% confirmed yet though.

Yeah even the front page of SHH reported Neeson on set...

Seriously? That would be awesome! Liam was the best thing about Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

^ I don't know, I personally thought Darth Maul was cool too, but Liam was still awesome.

Umm Liam is returning, Pence is just playing him in a flashback scene. Which I actually find kind of interesting, considering back in Batman Begins for example, we had scenes taking place 20 or so years ago and Alfred, Loeb and Gordon were portrayed by exactly the same actors. In Michael Caine's case, they didn't even try to make him any younger :oldrazz:

I was watching some Begins the other day, and kept thinking how great it'll be to have Liam back as Ra's.

WB wouldn't announce his return because it would be considered as a spoiler. They're going to keep quiet about Neeson's involvement until showtime.

edit: if someone could do a manip of Daniel Craig as Batman and Liam Aiken as Robin, that would be freakin sweet

Hey Knight Rise, here's one I did with Liam Aiken as Robin a really long time ago, along with Emma Watson and Batgirl. I hope this is kinda what you were looking for?

Well a lot of people are presuming that Liam's return is some massive spoiler, but unless he's actually alive or is in something more than a short cameo in a flashback, I see no reason to keep it concealed as such. But I guess they still will, considering back in TDK, we all knew Cillian was back as Scarecrow but I don't think we ever got confirmation until the movie opened.

In never understood why the didn't. Caine with darker hair and a thin mustache like Alfred in the comics would have been awesome.
And it was kinda strange that Alfred, Mr Earle and Gordon didn't look any older 20 years after the funeral. I guess they found the fountain of youth.
Or was it an early advice to the Lazarus pit? :cwink:

Crap, I forgot about Mr. Earle. So that's Loeb, Mr. Earle, Gordon and Alfred. Seems in Nolan's universe those characters qualify as immortal, whereas Ra's doesn't.

I would say that Gordon was the only one to look a little different.

Nolan must have forgotten about that part! :oldrazz:

But the Scarecrow had zero impact on TDK. Unlike Ra's, he didn't die or anything. They didn't write Crane out of the story or anything. It was nothing unexpected. WB would go out of their way to not spoil the story. But hey, his involvement is just a rumor....

Crane was shown to finish his story, in the BB or TDK book it had been stated that no one knew where he was since the breakout, but that people with symptoms of his drugs had been showing up in hospitals, so he was there to show what happened to him.
Ra's is supposed to have been alive for hundreds of years, and as much as Nolan wants to go for the reality approach I dont like that its one man than another takes up his name over time like the Phantom. I'd like to see if Talia and Ra's are in TDKR, that we see a flashback to BB of Talia placing Ra's in a Pit after the train blew to bring him back to life like he does in the comics.

its close enough, i just thought after watching Series of Unfortunate Events that he'd make a good robin. just to see him in the suit was my concern

It's from that one chick flick television show. But yeah, it's the same as the Batgirl suit from B&R except the gloves, belt and emblem are gold.

It's the suit from the Birds of Prey tv show, which was the exact same B&R Batgirl costume with some new paint.
