Do you mean her origin from 52? I found it without the text:

a475zn.jpg

I don't know exactly where it's from as I saw it via an iphone app... it's two pages long, drawn by Adam Hughes and has a little fact file at the end. I'm assuming you posted some pictures but as my computer at work is a piece of ****, I can't see lol! So will have to wait until I get to a different computer.

I'm pretty sure it's part of this DC Universe Origins book
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DC-Universe...6328/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301469874&sr=1-1

But I'm not 100% sure so don't want to waste money on it and find it's not the right one!

Hm, so are we to assume that Growly McGlowyeyes is the real big bad here? Looks like the Sandman on a bender.

Reminds me of the White Magician

But do not think that spooky looking mutha on that cover is the big bad of the Odyssey story

Buy all of Greg Rucka's Wonder Woman comic books Invisible Woman they are fab

And the original Marston Wonder Woman comic books are :awesome: you should read those

Brilliant! Thanks so much! :woot: I'm a recent WW fan so trying to find specific comics is proving difficult as she's been around for SO long! I love the art from the Origin so much... I just NEED to buy it!

You're welcome. Yeah, that is a great origin.

Cool! Thanks! I'm gonna look into it right now! I'm stuck at work - bored out of my mind - so what better way to pass the time then to look into nearly 70 years of WW history! :woot:

I'm gonna be a pain now (sorry!) but are these volumes all from Greg Rucka's run??

Wonder Woman: Down to Earth
Wonder Woman: Bitter Rivals
Wonder Woman: Eyes of the Gorgon
Wonder Woman: Land of the Dead
Wonder Woman: Mission’s End

I know... I'm clueless lol!

Yes they are Rucka and I really like "Mission's End".

"Bitter Rivals" features Veronica Cale, who is going to be in the TV series.

I know NOTHING about Veronica Cale... is it a good thing that she's being played by Elizabeth Hurley? Good casting or not??

Thanks so much, I'll be placing my order on all volumes today! As you and Willi Berg both seem to like Missions End, I'm looking forward to reading that one!

I'm not sure. Veronica in the comics is a blonde Texan. Hurley does seem to have a scheming quality about her. I hope she can pull it off. Veronica is very brilliant in the comics, very complicated and troubled, not just a one-dimensional villain.

I don't actually think Hurley is THAT terrible an actress... it's just unfortunate that her personal life eclipses her professional one. She does have a tendancy of "hamming" it up though so I worry her Veronica Cale may be a little bit Sharon Stone in Catwoman... but maybe that's what Cale is supposed to be like?! Must. read. up.

Wonder Woman: Hiketeia is a good OGN by Rucka, you forgot that on yer list.

All I had to do was take one look at the cover (Wonder Woman's foot on Bats face) to know I HAD to buy it! Thanks :-)

Any more suggestions for a new fan is appreciated... as I said, it would take me a long time to sift through 70 years worth of comics so a heads up on all "must reads" is appreciated!

Well Greg Rucka stuff is a good place to start, i've heard great things about Perez's run and i think most people do like Simone's the Circle story arc, or atleast 1 or 2 arcs by her really. Maybe when you get a good taste of WW you will check out JLA stuff, since Rucka's run for example does have Flash, Batman and Superman dropping by for an issue or two.

Hiketeia is a standalone story so it has that as a good side if you mass order and the mail comes in weird order. :p

Agreed i :hrt: that cover

It looks gorgeous and it looks hawt :atp:

Challenge of Artemis is pretty neat but it was written in the 90s so bits of it are pretty dated

And the Perez and Jiminez Wonder Woman comic books have great writing and fab art. Jiminez' whole run has been collected in Paradise Lost and Paradise Found

And the first twenty five issues of Perez are out in trade

Brill... well I have all Rucka's volumes on order now so that will give me a lot to read for now! I'm a fussy comic book reader, the art has to be equal to the writing for me to really appreciate it... I do NOT like comics with crappy, lazy artwork cause I think the visuals should always compliment and enhance the writing. Hence me wanting the WW Origin from 52, Adam Hughes work is just gorgeous. I wanna frame it and put it on my wall (yes, seriously lol)

I have so much to catch up on that I think I'm gonna have to take advantage of Free Comic Book Day on May 7th and head down to Forbidden Planet and load up! I'm gonna look like such a nerd but I don't care! Thanks for the suggestions, I've written them down so I can splash out on pay day! Whoop whoop! :woot:

Fun on a bun i love buying tons of comic books on payday buying bags and bags of graphic novels

Nerd pride!

Should warn you some of the art in Challenge of Artemis is very crummy

It has some 90s cliches like giant boobs giant shoulder pads villains with ridiculous muscles and giant guns ;_;

But Wonder Woman's costume looks pretty fab and there are lots of good stories

Some of my fave comics I own are the X-Men ones from the 1990's... Jim Lee was my GOD when I was 8-12 years old! I'm all for impossibly giant boobs, teeny waists and thong costumes that look like they'd give a girl thrush (Yes, I'm looking at YOU Psylocke!)

Who was drawing Wonder Woman in the 90's?

Oh neat well if you like that style of art that is cool think you will dig the art in Challenge of Artemis though not sure who the artist was

And I :hrt: Psylocke's costume too. Sexy half naked british ninjas get a  from me
