The only significant change is the pants and boots, really. It's made out of some other material, I believe, and has been darkened. I still feel the same about it as I did before; I like it overall. I like how they haven't darkened the whole suit like some wanted, and it still has that pop-superhero feel that distinguishes it from other costume adaptations.

They did it with all of them, I think. They would release one volume, then let it go out of print with the next volume. It just seemed so odd, but DC's trade department is a puzzle.

It be a confuzzling puzzle

I don't mind the colors at all now. The color scheme of the top looks a lot better now with better pants and boots. Like I said, I don't love, but I'm no longer going "Oh my god it's freaking hideous!" anymore.

There's still room for a lot of improvement primarily where the metal parts look like cheap plastic, but at least WB and NBC listened to the major complaints and fixed them.

Yeah, that's probably still my main issue with it; those plastic looking bits. But....let's get away from costume talk. We were doing pretty good in avoiding that for awhile :O

So, anyway, I read an early review for today's issue of Wonder Woman, and it seems we're definitely getting a wind down moment in the narrative with some great bits from Dr. Psycho and what may be happening with all this stuff, and Kramer seems to have penciled the entire issue, instead of pages here and there.

Neat look forward to reading that issue

yeah, the new issue wasnt bad. we at least got a little glimpse of the REAL wonder woman and know she's still around (thank god!). the ending had a nice little homage to wonder woman's past.

i guess my main concern now is how flashpoint is going to affect her character.

The new pics are so awful that it's difficult to start a critique. And she's NO WW material at all.

It's sad, but I knew it would happen. I said it back in the days when the JLA movie was going through hell.

And in the grand tradition of "you'll never please everyone"...I for one am really gonna miss those bright vinyl pants. :O We hardly knew ye. Well, the new pants look fine I suppose. Boots are great. The red parts of the costume seem to crinkle a lot, hopefully that's something they can look into.

Not gonna be able to read the new issue until tonight, but I'm hearing interesting things about it.

I'll miss them too. Now her costume doesn't match. At least before, her pants were as shiny as her top. :csad:

The boots are definitely an improvement, though.

She's easily a better pick for her role than either actor portraying Superman in the last ten years.

Optimistically she should at least manage the like, Dean Cain level of not quite on-model but basically acceptable superhero portrayal. Which is probably fitting since I figure the general optimistic outcome for this series is gonna hit someplace right around the Lois & Clark level of superhero storytelling.

Agreed i thought the vinyl pants looked fab and hawt. Wish she was still wearing those

Not digging the new pants but the boots look good.

Yeah, I find myself wondering the same thing. I kind of envision them just having a Wonder wheel that they spin to figure out which 'bold, new direction' they'll be taking for the character next.

In all seriousness, though, I really won't be surprised if they do something in line with the show if it gets picked up.

Are you ready to rage so hard you'll get a red lantern ring?

I heard that after the Odyssey is over Diana will be inspired to start her own company. It was supposedly in some files leaked from a DC meeting. They want to make her book like the TV series.

Man, did that make all the difference, too. It's not perfect, but it looks SO much better.

That is quite unwelcome news

That's really "optimistically speaking".

She isn't beautiful as a goddess, nor stately as one. She just looks like an angry American chick in cheap WW lookalike, ComiCon costume.

Lynda Carter in the old-fashioned (but fun) WW series looked 100 times better, and much more WW than that.

I be keeping my expectations very low for this show but i shall be watching the pilot

Hope it is better than it sounds

The hell? She doesn't even look that angry

It's not surprising or anything, like I mentioned above that. It's pretty expected for something like to happen if the show actually gets picked up. If it doesn't, well, it's just kind of business as usually anyway.

So i liked #609! The Psycho moment where he reveals his trueself was patheticly sympathic and it was nice to see a nod towards Stan Lee's Wonder Woman.

She has a great smile if you ask me.

Yep, she looks quite good in those photos. The haters will hate regardless of anything, but the truth is, that she really does.
