I don't see why it can't reach $200 million internationally. Especially since it's been out for only 3 weeks and it already in that vicinity.

I say another 20 max. 15 more realistic. It needs another 37m to reach 200m. I could be wrong but I don't think it will make that much. Here's hoping though.

It's been passed $200 mil WW for a while now.

It's at $282 mil WW and it'll probably reach $300 mil + WW when all is said and done.

Hopefully soon, I just can't stand seeing "The Hangover II" besting First Class in the Box Office, it's just not right.

Well XFC is the fifth X-Men movie, I don't think The Hangover franchise can reach its 5th movie.

If it were to decline every weekend by 50%, that's already an additional $20 million. I don't really know how they calculate weekend totals for foreign countries, but I'm pretty sure this doesn't include weekdays, so there's still a little bit to add there. I think it'll get really close as the weekend holds hopefully get a little bit better. Some foreign countries have large overall multipliers.

Exactly, it will reach $200 million internationally with another 140-150 million domestically, your talking about $340-350 million for its worldwide total. Hopefully enough to secure a sequel.

This movie better reach $140M in US alone!

It will. I laid out my prediction somewhere in here and it has made that each week or pretty close. I said it would make 12 million this weekend and it was 11.5 or something. It should end up at 140-150 domestic.

It's at 120 right now, it will get another 10-12 million this week, 5-6 the week after, about 2-3 the next week, and then about 1-2 it's final week in theaters. So, that's about 140-150. $150 million though is the ceiling for this thing. It won't cross that.

I think it depends of how many weeks Fox want the movie on theathres.

If FC stay on threatres a few more weeks than X1, it can surpass its domestic gross.

so... fingers crossed!

Once it cross $300 million (and does well on DVD) Fox will have little excuse not to make a sequel. The cast are about to blow up (Fassbender and Lawrence in particular) so there's plenty of room for growth.

Most likely. It'll just be a case of scheduling and making sure Lawrence isn't filming The Hunger Games back-to-back or anything.

Once the numbers roll in Fox will probably make a decision (if they haven't already) and tell the cast the set time aside for filming in 2012/2013 for a summer 2014 release. At least this time they'll be prepared in advance so they can claim an early May date like the previous films.

There was a huge Green Lantern billboard here in my city...it was torn down before the film even opened, which i thought was a bad omen!

The big one by my office was being taken down this morning. I suspect Harry Potter will in that space when I leave work today.

As did I. And each week it's been doing just about what I laid out. So I don't see how $140 million at least isn't a possibility.

It's gonna make just over a million Today through Thursday. About $5m this weekend.

My bet is:

- This Weekend: $300M Worldwide
- Next weekend: $310M

Any more bets?? :woot:

So, First Class was actually underestimated. Actuals for the weekend are 11.9million. Domestic total is 120.3! :)

A rare piece of good news on Box office.Let's see tomorrow How It holds out on weekdays now that It Is In fourth place. If It can hold up In the 1 Million range that
will be good news.If we are lucky maybe It hit 125 Million before Cars 2 hits. This was
first weekend It actual did a bit better than the sunday estimates.

Once thee become more famous then it will be expensive for Fox to get them back (X-trilogy situation). I have a feeling that Jennifer will be the one who would turn down the role. After all Mystique will become more silent and deadly.

It depends if she's already signed on for more films. If that's the case then it won't be a problem.

In that case then there is Hunger games to worry about. The movie is also a franchise and may be she might be stuck filming it back to back !
