The thing I don't get with internet fans (mostly) is them badmouthing the film and then saying they'll buy a ticket to another movie and just sneak into an X-men showing, as a supposed protest for Fox. Truly pathetic.
The FOX haters aren't the craftiest bunch. :whatever:

I would have stuck around to see it again after seeing Super 8 this morning (which was terrific, btw)...but the movie theater was on fire. :wow:

Was the theater in Brooklyn? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9GNeTUzQis&feature=youtu.be [YT]http://www.youtube.com/embed/H9GNeTUzQis[/YT]

(vauge attempt at topic: Fire in a Brooklyn Theater track is used at the end of the Thirteen days trailer (aka, the non-mutant version of the Cuban Missile Crisis) :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSA7Evcy7iE [YT]http://www.youtube.com/embed/DSA7Evcy7iE[/YT]

Ehhh, no.

Luckily the theater didn't burn down or anything, just something that set the alarms off and caused them to clear everyone out. Looked like it was back open when we left the mall after lunch.

Just back from my 5th viewing. Lively audience! You'd think it was opening weekend. Applause at the end.

A fox owned tv channel buys the rights to a 20th Century fox movie.

Yeah, but they're not all part of the same division. The money the movie division makes doesn't go to the television division, and vice-versa, unless there is a situation like this where one of their TV networks pays for the rights to a 20th Century Fox movie. It's all Rupert Murdoch's money in the end, but score one for the movie division and X-Men: First Class.

Damn, you make me want to see this again. I'm contemplating going tomorrow. Can't get enough of it.

i loved it even if it had no rogue hehe.

im hoping they will add blink in future movies, her powers make for amazing visuals for action scenes.

looks like xmen didnt fair that well in the box office.

They aren't that bad, either. It'll still be making $$$ for at least another month, so don't write it off just yet.

If Super 8 explored at box office and did better than expected It's not good for First
Class and the prospects for sequel. And with Green Lantern next weekend any more dire
next weekend. The weekend estimates later today will help get an Idea. But If It did
worse than the last estimate for weekend(25 Million) It IS defently doing a Hulk level
gross.

There will be another X-Men film. But It Is becoming more and more likely It will be X4.

Finke says 24.7M for the weekend. Not sure why some people were getting upset with the TIH comparison, it sort of fits.

Because X-Men: First Class is far better than TIH.

The box office comparisons may be valid, but the reasons for the box office aren't the same.

I don't think anyone said the reasons were the same.

Although in a way they are, both are following up films in franchises that were not at all well received.

The Incredible Hulk compassion Is bad because it got no sequel and IS sort of the bastard stepchild In The Avengers franchise. With the exception of Lou ferringro returng to voice the Hulk no actor for the Incredible Hulk Is returing for the Avengers.

Considering the person who now says 24 million was off last weekend it could only end up doing 21 or 22 Million. It defently won't make 100 Million total this weekend.

X-Men 4! X-Men 4! Man, do I want to see X-Men 4!

It's a shame that so far FC is not doing so well financially, because it is a great movie. I am going to see it again some time this week. You bet that I will be buying the DVD or possibly Blu-ray when it comes out.

The only new characters I can see possibly returning from FC in X-Men 4 are Emma and Azazel now that they've been established.
