I give up. We will just have 2 agree 2 disagree

If the Fantastic Four reboot turned out to be as good as X-Men/Planet of the Apes, I think I would love Fox even more! X-Men Days of Future Past/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes are my top 2 most anticipated movies this summer! and next year, The Fantastic Four is my most anticipated movie of the summer!

Not much to go on at this point, but I loved Chronicle, and I'm a fan of Michael B. Jordan (Miles Teller did well in The Spectacular Now, too), and this could be good. This and Antman are pretty firmly in the wait-and-see zone for me.

Henry Pym 70 years old Is just as much a change as johnny STorm.

There has always been rumor that Evanlene Lilly Is playing wasp and she is Pym's daughter and love intrest for Scott Lang.

Besides Johnny being black most of changes to FF come from Ultimate FF.We
will have to wait and see how that turns out.

I wasn't really fan of ultimate line and prefer films based on 616 but magneto taking control of sentinles In DOFP comes from ultimate X-Men and the
Amazing Spider-man,my favorate spider-man,is based more on ultimate spider-man.Amazing Spider-man 2 makes even more clear their main inspiration Is
Ultimate Spider-man.The first avengers Is loosly based on the ultimates. Now loki as villain was clearly based on 616 and the characters in films are divided between 616 and ultimate influence on characters.

I have a wait and see attitude towards a lot of 2015 and 2016 big films.Even
X-Men:Apocalypse.

Yeah the FF could suck. But,it could also be good. The ones open minded
enough that It could be good are minority around here.

I'm really hyped for this movie, never liked 616 F4, always liked ultimate better, since i can relate to them better, plus the're teens! it seems this movie is taking inspiration from ultimate, so I'm on board.

Well, I hope they have something exciting to show us...

A positive thing…I do like the cast…

…whether they're right for this film that remains to be seen…for the most part I'm trying to remain positive and optimistic…

Awesome! on a side note i was feeiling bad, after we heard that info, about Ben being Ben, them not having costumes, but i went rewatched my Chronicle blu ray, and my trust is restored in Josh trank!

Don't buy into that info.

Fox announced their schedule for SDCC and FF wasn't on it.

Maybe saving it for a surprise.

MTV: What has the experience been like for you guys? There’s so much secrecy, you haven’t been able to say anything.

Jordan: Yeah, we have been pretty much in our own world, that’s really the only way we could get a project like this done. It is so massive, so many moving parts, so many moving pieces, things are changing every day ... We’re taking it seriously, taking a lot of risks. I think it’s going to pay off.

... Josh’s vision is very clear and he knows exactly what he wants, and he gives us room to adapt and to play.

MTV: You usually think of “Fantastic Four” as more Golden Age, kind of a “gee whiz!” approach, but this — and I don’t mean it in a bad way — sounds quite a bit angstier than the average Fantastic Four film.

Jordan: Yeah, I mean we’ve just got layers. We’re trying to make it relatable to people as much as we can [with these] larger than life, larger than this world themes.

It’s superheroes! You know, not just superheroes. It’s fiction. You’ve got to ground it as much as you can to make [audience members] feel relatable to these characters, no matter what age they are or what time of their life.
One of the good things about the Fantastic Four is that everybody is different. And it’s like, sometimes family doesn’t always consist of your relatives or by blood. Sometimes your best friends can feel more like family than your cousins.

I think everybody kind of has that same feeling. When you go through an accident together, when you go through a traumatic event, sometimes that brings you closer together. Yeah, everybody takes their time out to kind of deal with their own stuff, but at the end of the day, you shared a common experience together that you’re able to relate to.

The people, the public, the fans that are watching this can all relate to that because everybody has had to overcome an obstacle in their life before.

MTV: It sounds like you guys are approaching the idea of family as, family based on shared experiences.

Jordan: Exactly.

But yeah, we didn’t have that big of a budget on “Chronicle” and now we have a pretty big budget – I’m not sure of the exact number. Now you’re actually responsible for more. So he’s more locked in and more focused on what he has to do, but he’s the same in all the ways that really matter.

He’s still super creative and super collaborative and he knows what he wants. That’s very important. If you don’t really know what you want and you’re just kind of like “Oh, let’s see what happens,” I think that’s the wrong approach for this project. I think he’s very specific, which is what we need.

MTV: I don’t know if you’ve seen “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes” yet…

Jordan: I did!

MTV: Well, Toby Kebbell is incredible as Koba, it only made me more excited to see him in “Fantastic Four” as Doctor Doom.

Jordan: Working with Toby is a blast. I’ve always been a fan of his work and respected him tons. I never got a chance to meet him, but I heard he was coming on board and I got really excited to be in scenes with somebody that you respect.

Off set and on, he’s a leader. He’s pretty funny. We get along great, man. So you know, actually, it’s a blast. It’s been really good.

Some insight into the movie and process from the most recent interview with the Human Torch.

I like what he said about the family dynamic.

In the Tim Story movies Reed felt responsible for Ben but they didn't have that bond, Ben showed more friendship to Reed than Reed reciprocated and with Johnny Reed seemed to just tolerate him, and his chemistry with Sue wasn't good.

Ben and Johnny had the best chemistry but even with that it was more pranking each other in a brotherly competition kind of way.

Ben and Sue I can't remember having any common ground and Sue mostly just spoke down to Johnny.

I hope that in this new franchise they connect better, and going by what he says above it seems they will be closer than in the story version

I definitely agree....
in the comics, Sue is almost a mother sometimes to Johnny. Never really saw that in the UFF version, so probably won't see that here, but I definitely do not want to see writing that makes Sue more of a ***** than a sister to Johnny. I'm definitely not seeing a bi-racial Storm thing here....sounds like one will be adopted.

As far as Johnny and Reed, again the dynamic is different from 616 to UFF....we may not see much of a difference from the first 2 movies as far as this relationship.

As far as Johnny and Ben, it will probably be similar to the other movies.

Ben and Sue is probably one of my favorite relationships in this comic. There was one scene in the first movie that I thought would be moving the two more towards the relationship of the comics, but that never happened, and they never spoke to each other in a personal way in the 2nd movie.

Sue and Reed. this relationship for me will be the most undetermined. They may not be married at all, they may be girlfriend and boyfriend....who knows.

What I got more from the interview is that we would see a family vibe among friends, rather than a family vibe among actual family members.

Just how I read it....

Hoping some of the above is not how I see it at the moment, but who knows.

From my experience you can generally be more open and honest with friends than with family so in that regard I think them being family more by choice than family by blood or marriage could work wonders.

Back In May Simon Kinberg had mentioned he was going to the FF set.he also did on set rewrites for First class so it's not kiss of death them going on while filming.

Actors can be vague when talking about big upcoming film.

This film could be good or it could suck.Thing is we won't know till we see
trailer and start getting more detailed comments.

It's one thing to see footage and dislike it.but,to dislike project because Fox
Is making it and not disney Is another.I will remain postive till I see something
that tells me not to be.

Yeah, they never got the levity of the situation except for relation to Ben cause they never really fleshed out how their lives changed post-accident.

Sue was Doom's assistant or something and after she was just with Reed. Johnny was a co-pilot and then rode a motorbike for some reason.

Reed was broke and then just got funding to find a cure. He didn't really take leadership to take care of finding a cure for Ben instead of relying on Doom's funding.
