Maggie was teh awesome in all her clips on IESB. She felt very natural, and actually seemed to have chemistry with both Eckhart and Bale.

Is it just me or does Maggie look really bad as Rachel in those 12 clips? Just as self-concious as she did in that viral video?

No, I don't see that at all my friend. I think I see a real living and breathing character. Quite hot too.

Definetely, after watching Maggie in those clips, i dont know if ill be able to stomach watching Katie again in batman begins. :woot:

She was so bad. :csad:

Okay, so I'm in the minority. But her perpetual smirk kinda bugs me, like she's not able to get into character or something.

The rachel dawes character has alway been out of place to me and wreaks of a studio suggestion to incorporate a love interest who's a strong female character. But I think from what I've seen Maggie actually lends it some credibility. Holmes was hard to watch b/c she never owned the character and it screamed out forced love interest everytime she was on screen. This time it seems Rachel fits in better with the rest of the characters.

i like the scene where she's walking with Dent telling him about him being shot at is a part of the DA gig.

There's that 'college girl' vibe that I liked. It makes her hot.

There's a sort of confidence to her in that scene which means she can behave like an infatuated girly girl and still seem plausibly adult

These are exactly my thoughts as well. As opposed to Katie Homes, Maggie Gyllenhaal actually has the chops to pull off this part in a credible manner. It just seemed to me like Katie wasn't giving her all as Rachel and was just phoning it in. Whereas with Maggie she's invested a bit of herself into the role and made the character look and act like a a person you'd no doubt encounter in real life. I have to say of what I've seen I like Mis Gyllenhaal's interpretation of the character better. Imagine if she was on board from the beginning just how much better Rachel's scenes would have been in Batman Begins.

'Imagine if she was on board from the beginning just how much better Rachel's scenes would have been in Batman Begins.'

I feel the same way, if this was George Lucas he would have reshot all of Rachel's scenes in Batman Begins with Maggie and then inserted them into an upteenth special edition dvd.

ROTF!!!!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Stupid "Special Edition" Return of The Jedi.

Im glad to see everyone agrees that Maggie is tons better at everything to do with Rachel than Katie, of course its a very obvious fact.

Not everyone agrees on Maggie. Katie had that ideal girl next door innocent sweet presence. Now Maggie's Rachel Dawes is too flirty sex and the city type for my taste. Overly feisty is not exactly girl power.
Katie's BB script sucks while Maggie has meatier stuff to do as a D.A. and even her romantic arc is multidimensional. Its unfair to compare when one is given an afterthought script. Im guessing this is Rachel's send off so might as well give her more stuff to do before she dies.:woot:

Katies Rachel had PLENTY to chew on in "Begins." She was faced with the having to tell Bruce that she would be defending the man who killed his parents for the purpose of getting Falcone. FAIL

She was faced with her childhood friend coming back from the dead and the emotion that would bring to someone. FAIL

She had to let Bruce go because of his unwillingness to be a person that stands for something. FAIL

Romantic chemistry. FAIL

Being shot with fear gas. FAIL

Reaction to finding out Bruce is Batman FAIL "Bruce?"

Slapping the snot out of Bruce without that stupid smirk and coming across like a preachy, selfish b*$%! MAJOR FAIL

Bringing any real emotion to the character FAIL FAIL FAIL

Her character was not THAT badly written. It may have been a little cliche' but a capable actor could bring that to life no problem. It just wasn't a task that Katie Holmes is up to. Let's face it, she sucks.

Seriously................why am I the only person on EARTH (it seems) to think that Katie was totally bearable and...yeah quite good in BB (not great we all agree on that)?????:huh::woot::cwink::o

Katie Holmes: "Officer, I'm a Gotham City District Attorney. Let me pass."

Gullible Cop: "Lol k."

that was bad....Katie is absoultely not believable there !

It was one of those rare moments in BB where I actually thought, "Seriously, Nolan?" Here's how I translate the dialogue:

Rachel: "Officer, I am an unarmed Gotham City District Attorney. Let me pass into The Narrows, currently under seige by a large group of escaped convicts, and being locked down by the police department. My business is my own."

Officer: "Okay, Ms. District Attorney. You have provided me with no credentials, and really don't have any clearance or purpose in being here, but whatever. Go right on ahead. Watch out for the cut-throats and rapists."
