I agree! I would tell all my other movie people I will do your movie but I had better have time to do The Dark Knight and the other sequels!! I did not like her as Rachel anyways. Katie as Rachel made me instantly root for Dr. Crane, lol. I think I will like Maggie Gyllenhaal better. Just from the pictures she is more likeable (except when she hits the Joker, lol)

People don't seem to like the acting of whoever plays Rachel Dawes. Maybe the problem isn't whoever plays Rachel Dawes, maybe the problem IS Rachel Dawes. And, since she's not from the comics so her character can't be translated improperly, then the problem must not be with Rachel Dawes, the problem is with the nitpicky fan.

I thought Katie was fine as Rachel. I believe that a lot of people just dont like her because it's "cool" to not like her ever since she got Cruise'd. She did fine in Pieces Of April as well. Thus far Im actually not impressed at all with Maggie.

Remember that before Heath passed away the marketing was going to center around The Joker. They have had to change it up a lot obviously by going with the Harvey Dent angle.

Now take a chill pill and just wait for the damn movie in order to judge fairly of her performance.

Maggie doesn't even talk in the trailer, does she? She's going to be a much better Rachel. Besides Katie Holmes is as cute as a Suri, but face it, she's lost her luster since she's given over to Xenu, and she really sucked in BB.

I am perfectly calm. I just find it pretty amusing to see these over cynical fanboys acting like chicken little over a viral marketing campaign. This is not an actual scene from the film and if it is it'll be a lot different than what we've seen.

They also forget that orignally the viral marketing was going to center around The Joker. Although with Heath's tragic and untimely passing it has been changed up and will center around Dent's character. As I said, wait until the film is out in order to judge it fairly and not act like this is from the actual film itself.

Ive heard people say that Katie looks like shes about to laugh during her scenes in BB...well...I kind of get the same from Maggie in the brief scene with The Joker.

Again, Im not judging her performance in the movie...I just didnt think she fit in well in that brief clip, and I certainly dont like the viral...

Im not one of these "I have to be right" kind of fanboys...if Maggie nails the performance in the movie, then I'll praise Xenu and rave about it here.

Why would anybody give a crap about her personal life? Get real,seriously! Tom Cruise has like more than 10 times the fans Katie has anyway. It would make more sense that people dislike Cruise because she got Holmes'd.

I dont think theres a weird reason why people dont agree with me...I was just pretty happy with katies performance in the movie. Of course, id rather the character not exist at all, but she did okay with it. Shes not the worlds greatest acrtress, but shes passable for what was the then current crop of "hot" actresses, and shed just come off a pretty critically praised performance. It was a solid choice in my opinion. Aagin, opinion, but I dont find maggie attractive at all (though shes hotter than Alfred) and I dont think shell be adding much to the role besides. I hope Im wrong.

But it is an absolute that when she hooked up with Tom Cruise it changed the publics perception of her. I get it, youre immune to that...Im not...I dont even think shes hot anymore...but the past few years has not been kind to Toms reputation and Katie has gotten a lot of flack as well.

Holmes just has that kind of face..her mouth is always in a semi-grin the way it looks.

I could almost concede here since basically im just offering my opinion and you are claiming yours is fact....but defending the beloved reputation of Tom Cruise is just insanity. The guy is a joke to the public now...and he brought katie down with him. Now, obviously Katie was never going to be winning any Oscars, but she was just this midlevel star who was good looking and would probably be mixed up with Paris Hilton or something by now but instead is seen as a robot who may have been impregnated with a dead mans sperm in a ritual for the great spaghetti monster or something. Respected beforehand or not, she got damaged...

And she got recognized by the razzies because its funny to beat up on her...because...you know...she hooked up with Tom Cruise and became a laughing stock.
