Here's my question. Have there every been any Bamfer wannabes or ripoffs that require you note that you are the Original?

And I'll answer your question with a question. What does my screen name have to do with Rachel Dawes?

Just funning'

Hey - really! How do I black out things like you did in that last post?

Highlight a selection of text and press the
ninja.gif
in the upper tool box or manually type [BLACKOUT][/ blackout] around the selection (with no space between the / and blackout in the second set of brackets).

Because who the hell else would it be? He would not be openly cheating on his fiance with Rachel at Bruce's penthouse party.
His fiance could have died in like a flash back, or could have been back story to understand why Harvey has this mission to save Gotham.

[blackout]thanks! I thought I had to like change the font color and then find like some black highligher.[/blackout]

No robin, pleeeaseee no robin, I loved Rachel, but we suspected this since the beginning, I think the new love interest should be Selina Kyle, nuff said

Like it's been said before, I really don't think so. He was listing a series of things that happen in the film to make him crack into Two Face, I doubt that it was meant as a flashback thing. Like he's all "Yeah, my ex-fiance died... here's my new gal Rachel who Joker just so happens to throw off a building!"

so it's confirmed that dent does in fact have a fiance?

In a new interview, Eckhart says Two Face's fiance dies.

Nope. But I'd suggest using it when appropriate. Otherwise it'll get annoying. Fast.

Don't worry, I wasn't planning on doing it with every post, I was getting annoyed yesterday having to put a couple words in a spoiler box and just now noticing the ninja...duh.

Thanks again.

Back on topic.

The trailer can not be taken as something that is a certainty. She may have been pushed off but who knows what will happen. This is Nolan we are dealing with, he knows we are going to analyze every little segment of footage, why spoil it?

Harvey is what? 35? He could have had a fiance when he was like 24 that got killed in Gotham. That would connect Bruce with Harvey even more since they both share a loss and seek justice.

Well, I'm not saying her getting tossed off the building is her death scene. I honestly don't think it is for that exact reason. They wouldn't show that in the trailer.

However, that's just not how I read Eckhart's interview. I read it as this is what happens in the movie to push him over. I honesty don't think we're gonna get much back story on Harvey. Plus, if that ex-fiance thing were the case, wouldn't that have been in the Times? That's sounds like a very noble reason to get into politics and would have been mentioned.

I'm 80% sure she's is killed, I'm 99.9% sure it's not when he pushes her of the building. I don't think they'd show her actual death in the trailer and I think they want to stress the audience out and then have them relieved when they find out she survives that fall because Joker is going to jump to - his escape route is somewhere off that ledge.

Then from what I'm gathering Rachel is going to be held captive during the big chase that follows the party scene. I had a feeling about that then became more certain when I learned Harvey is along for the ride in the GCPD swat van during the chase.

I think she's going to die during the chase sequence if she dies at all.

Is it me or is anyone else kind of psyched that
rachel supposedly dies
In ever other comic movie, the love interest is mostly a damsel in distress and is always saved. I just think if she does
bite the dust
its going to bring a whole new emotion and dynamic to a comic movie, not to mention a darkness.

Very possible as well. I just take everything that is shown in the trailers as a lie story wise. Interviews as well, Maggie said she would want to be back for a third one and Harvey says his fiance dies. Which one is more valid?

Who knows? Maggie can't answer that question "Oh no, I die in this one" though.

The latter. There's no reason for Eckhart to lie about his tidbit, as it's to be taken at face value. Maggie has plenty reason to deceive if her character is to die.

Also worthy to note Echkart's choice of words. His fiancee "dies", not "died".
