The Reboot Joker

To be fair he did seem like perfect Lex casting, more so than some would think of Eisenberg at first thought.

I agree, im a fan of Melonis work since Oz and Law And Order: Svu. He would have been awesome. Im not sure yet what i think about Eisenberg. I like him enough as an actor, so im gonna let him surprise me! :yay: (Positive thinking you know)

Eisenberg should be fine as he is Lex "coming up" so to speak more akin to Rosenbaum (which is the one constant most Superman fans liked about the fan splitting series Smallville)

I agree, i really liked Rosenbaum as Lex.

I am hoping this reboot Joker will be perma-clown/perma-white, funny, sadistic, murderous, evil laugh, and be a mixture of Jack Nicolson, Heath Ledger, and Mark Hamill.

Follow "The Killing Joke" and the Red Hood stories through flashbacks but make him as someone who is all out for himself and a trickster/jokester.

Except that Lex isn't just "coming up." We saw in MOS that LexCorp is already a massive corporation with investments in many different fields/areas. Synder compared him to Bill Gates in how rich he is. Lex is "coming up," he's already here.

Anyone else think "T Bag" from Prison Break would make a sick Joker? I can't help but think of the Joker everytime this guy is on screen.

he plays the clock king on arrow, he's one of the best villains on that show too

LOL!! You definitely missed the boat on what I meant :p Ya he is rich and successful but in terms of "coming up" I mean into power/more influence on the city. Helping rebuild Metropolis would certainly set the scene for him going beyond mogul.

yeah he's probably got little chance of being cast as Joker now that he's involved with Arrow as a known DC villain

If being Deadpool for Marvel didn't stop Reynolds from being Green Lantern, I cannot fathom why they wouldn't pick this guy up simply because he was in one episode of Arrow.

So he was the only actor brave enough to want the Joker role?

Sound like a bunch of ludicrous speculation.

Reporter: HEY CALLAN! HEY BEFORE YOU RUN AWAY FROM ME AND GET INTO THAT CAB, I HEARD YOU'RE IN THE NEW BATMAN/SUPERMAN MOVIE!

Mulvey: Yes, that's right. But I can't talk about that.

Reporter: OH COME ON THROW US A BONE! TELL US WHO YOU'RE PLAYING? IS IT DOOMSDAY, METALLO, ARES, THE PENGUIN, BRAINIAC OR THE JOKER? IT'S THE JOKER ISN'T IT?! TELL ME YOU'RE PLAYING THE JOKER!

Mulvey: Um.... I'm sorry but I can't say anything. Bye.

Reporter: WELL, THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS! MULVEY WOULDN'T CONFIRM OR DENY THAT HE'S PLAYING THE JOKER! IF HE WAS JUST PLAYING AN ORIGINAL CHARACTER, WHY WOULDN'T HE JUST DIVULGE THE FULL DETAILS OF THE PLOT?! HE HAS TO BE PLAYING THE JOKER! CASE CLOSED!

It is ludicrous speculation, but lets not suddenly act like we've never made bigger leaps than that in these parts. :o

Adrien Brody, I think, would be my fav. choice at this point. I've seen his name thrown around for years on various sites so it would be pretty awesome. I've yet to see him give a performance I haven't liked.

Can't believe I forgot about him as a choice.

Im keeping my fingers crossed for him as Sam Raimis() The Shadow! :word:

I have faith in Snyder, so if he cast Mulvey as Joker, i wouldn't be mad. the role doesn't necessarily require an A-list actor. In fact, I kind of like the idea of a lesser known actor being Joker...

but yeah, now I'm actually kinda hoping Joker is in this..It just makes sense that he would be.
and I really feel like the best place to reintroduce Joker would be in a team up film. another Batman solo film with the Joker as the main villain would inevitably be compared to the two great Batman movies that have already done a variation on that movie before...

The Joker in a team up movie setting is something we've never seen before, and it could be really fresh. I could see Joker being a sort of the DCCU's equivalent to the MCU's Loki.

It would've made sense if it was a Batman-centric movie, but seeing as how this will be a Superman-centric movie, I can't see how having the Joker in BvS makes any sense. Especially when it seems like there's no way to fit him in.

Aside from the fact that you don't know how centric either guy actually will be, you are right...adding joker would be overkill, and if there's any character that Im gods honest baffled in regards to potential casting, it would be this one.

I could see it being a small cameo, like him being hauled away by the cops or appearing in Arkham or something to that extent...but anything further would be beyond overkill (imo).

If we get the Joker, I want an unapologetic comic book/Animated series version of him... perma-white, big chin, rictous grin - the lot!

Some great ideas for actors too - Adrian Brody is a good choice, and how about Kevin Bacon, he's got the cheeks for it!

Agreed, 1000%
