The Reboot Joker

But he's Alfred? :wow:

Fixed it for ya.

Yes it was. Jeremy Irons playing Alfred and The Joker. :wow:

That would be utterly amazing, plot holes aside.

I think that's likely, or else save him for the next Batman solo movie. The Joker loses some of his sting when he is set against super-beings who can find him with super-hearing and x-ray vision, before detaining him at light-speed.
No more than Lex Luthor. I think it would be refreshing for the antagonists to be "mere humans", offsetting the common thinking that pure force and special abilities can cure all the wrongs in the world.

Even the Justice League could use a little humility.

Daniel Day Lewis

I remember DDL saying he isn't necessarily averse to blockbuster roles, but they aren't meaty enough for him to consider shooting it for months on end. Heath's performance was specifically cited as fantastic, but akin to finding a needle in a haystack.

Getting someone like Ben to draw in talent would be fantastic, but I don't think even then DDL would take it on, if only because he clearly was so affected Ledger's passing.

I think he meant hasn't been DONE before. I could be wrong maybe an invisible villain?

i definitely don't want to see any original villains (unless its small stuff like earle and reese), i'd rather they only use villains from the comics

Hmm... I think Grant is a little long in the tooth now for Joker, though he'd have been a pretty good one 10-15 years ago.

I'm so exhausted by Joker casting speculation, remember the last one? Adrien Brody, Crispin Freeman, Paul Bettany, Jude Law, Lachy Hulme?!? and they decided to go insanely left field, and voila you have the best bit of superhero movie casting ever. Frankly I'd rather they go left field with this one too, if they have to do joker, but I'd rather not see him for a while (but then again, I want Affleck to have his own Joker as well)

I would love to see Scott Snyder's Court of Owls make an appearance.

Batman: JOKKEEERRR! It's over! You're reign of terror is finished!
Joker: I have a HEART CONDITION! If you hit me it's murder!

No more than Lex Luthor. I think it would be refreshing for the antagonists to be "mere humans", offsetting the common thinking that pure force and special abilities can cure all the wrongs in the world.

The difference is that Lex Luthor evades justice by seeming to dwell within its confines. If Superman smashed through his office window and punched him in the face, Superman would be the criminal.

Everyone knows that The Joker is a psychotic mass murderer who cannot be permitted to be at large. Though he is a deadly and cunning enemy, he cannot do much to prevent somebody like Superman swooping out of the sky and dropping him back in Arkham's exercise yard.
