The Reboot Joker

The Joker isn't meant merely to be "extreme", "scary" or "grotesque". Those should be elements that lie beneath his skin. Outwardly, he should be able to appear seductive in his dark charisma, like the Devil. He should also be able to exude something approaching charm. That isn't really possible if he looks like a zombie.

Two Face should make you feel nauseous on sight; The Joker should make you feel nauseous with fear.

Well said. The Joker should be charismatic and charming, in a twisted way. Most definitely.

I want to see him fall like a sickly bird from an industrial perch beneath a bloody sky, and suffer a lime-green chemical baptism of evil in a rusted vat below.

For me, it's one of the most striking, operatic, and important moments in the Batman mythos. It's up there with Bruce Wayne as a child kneeling over his murdered parents in Crime Alley.

We shouldn't be deprived of these things.

Yes x100000. The chemical vat origin is iconic.

B89 is available if you want to see that in live action :o

Probably more of a chance we'll get that in Gotham as opposed to subsequent geriatric Batman movies anyway :hehe:

i want to see the final battle between Joker and Batman on film.

Something like Joker's death in Return of the Joker and The Dark Knight Returns.

I still think the showdown in the '89 film is fantastic. That movie felt like a Batman movie.

Yea i loved the showdown in 89. When Joker pulled out that ridiculous hand cannon? YES.

And Llama that is a good colouring job! I like it!

The whole belltower scene is just perfection. The way Batman looks, accompanied with the score and the action...and the buildup. Very well done. Pure Batman right there.

I want the whole implied sexual attraction he has to Batman. He's just doing it to mess with Batman, but it's majorly creepy.

I just look the rich, lurid, velvety-darkness of B89, and of much of the merchandise and other media derived from it.

Then you'll get a kick out of this blast from the past from Sweden:

The 89 Batman soda. Orange flavored.

Yeah lolBut with Joker taking it to a more campy and louder extreme :D

This new Joker should be very flamboyant with a dapper sense of dress.
:hehe:

I've personally never been a fan of that. It takes Joker on a whole new level of creepy, which could be a good thing, but I personally don't like the sexual attraction thing.

I much prefer the Joker's fascination of Batman being focused on his role as a protector, representing order and hope contrasting to the Joker's role as an "agent of chaos".

TDK nailed that, imo.
