The Reboot Joker

It would be excellent. I can imagine it working a bit like Dredd or The Raid. The only problem is that it might be difficult to tick all the demographic-pleasing boxes required for a huge summer blockbuster.

Here's your Joker, John Hawkes -

I could see him as Joker, but his look really screams Jonathan Crane to me.

John Hawkes is a marvelous actor, I just think that is wonderful fancasting.

John Hawkes is literally a fusion of Adrian Brody and Sean Penn.

The look on Jack's face is priceless. And who are the guys behind him? Paparazzi? Nicholson's posse? That guy on the left reminds me of Bob from Batman 89.

Nicholson deserves a bit more fan-respect for his contribution to Batman. Puzzling statements on Heath Ledger aside, it is clear that Nicholson relished the role and is quite proud of his performance.

Nicholson's got all the respect in the world from me at least, i like his Joker better than TDK Joker.(Blasphemy!) Not to take anything away from Ledger. Heath was awesome and he deserved his Oscar. I think Jack should have gotten a nomination at least for his joker. Different times.

Nicholson's Joker and Heath's Joker are both two of my favorite performances of all time... I honestly don't even know which one I think is better.

The new Joker needs to be something different. We've had so many good Joker's in the past, but I'd love a Joker that's truly horrific this time around...

The Arkham Asylum design should be the basis of the new Joker, in the same way that The Dark Knight Returns was the basis for the look of the new Batman.

If they go with an older Joker i wanna see Willem Dafoe, since his Joker manip looks just like the Arkham Asylum version of Joker and Willem is such a good actor. If they go younger, John Hawkes as suggested by Eddie Dean.

John Hawkes isn't exactly young. He's fifty five.

And a big, resounding "YES" to adapting The Joker from A Serious House on Serious Earth.

Really? I would have guessed somewhere in his mid-forties. Ah, well i meant younger than Dafoe. Who is 58, eh not much difference i guess.

I would rather that we see a transformation. He should be a lurid, violent showman- full of charisma, charm and panache- until his plans lie in ruins and his mask slips. Then he can be revealed as a braying, deformed, blood-lusting mad man.

that nicholson picture is fake it's not a joker picture

I know still funny though, that's sort of reaction he would give.

After the last season of Hannibal, Michael Pitt is my top choice.

Steve Carrell and I'm not even joking!

Looking at the trailer for Foxcatcher, after that film i don't think many people will see that bit of potential casting as a joke.
